摘要： The present invention provides the use of a composition comprising a block polymer as a support matrix in the manipulation, processing or analysis of particles, such as cells and fluorescent beads. In a preferred embodiment, the composition exhibits gel-sol thermoreversibility, micelle formation under gelling conditions, optically compatible, controllable surfactant properties, molecular sieving properties and biocompatibility. Further aspects of the invention provide (a) a support matrix composition comprising a block polymer, fluorescent beads and/or a dye for use in the manipulation, processing or analysis of particles, (b) a multichamber plate coated in a support matrix composition and (c) kits for producing the same.

The thin-film transistor has a performance-enhancing layer, such as a performance-enhancing bottom layer, comprising a polymer other than a polyimide. In specific embodiments, the polymer is selected from the group consisting of polysiloxane, polysilsesquioxane, and mixtures thereof. In other embodiments, it is a self-assembling polymeric monolayer of a silane agent and an organophosphonic acid. The performance-enhancing layer directly contacts the substrate. The layer improves the carrier mobility and current on/off ratio of the thin film transistor.

摘要： A cover assembly for a seat belt guide loop is disclosed having a first, outer cover portion connected by an elongate, thin connector member such as a tether with a second, inner cover portion. The outer cover portion is mounted to the vehicle via a bolt that pivotally mounts and anchors the guide loop. The head of the bolt is left exposed for a torque test or the like; and, then the tethered inner cover is assembled to the outer cover by a snap fit of one to the other. In one form, the tether may be integrally attached to one of the cover members and manually connected by an enlarged free end to the other cover member to tether the cover members together. The tether is hidden from view within the assembly cover portions after cover assembly. In another form, the tether may be a discrete part that is later connected to each of the respective cover portions.

摘要： The invention relates to a multiple layer laminate such as a printing carrier, especially in the form of antifalsification paper such as bank notes. Said multiple layer laminate or more precisely the printing carrier comprises at least one plastic layer (22) having an upper side (20) and a lower side (21), an upper paper layer (11) which is connected to the upper side (20) of the plastic layer (22), and optionally a lower paper layer (12) which is connected to the lower side (21) of the plastic layer (22). The aim of the invention is to achieve an especially intimate connection between the individual layers, with simultaneously good printability and with similar haptic characteristics such as those of pure paper carriers. To this end, a thermoplastic polymer material is used as the plastic layer (22), and the connection between the paper layers (11, 12) and the plastic layer (22) is ensured, essentially without additional bonding agents, by means of penetration regions (13, 14) in which parts of the plastic layer (22) are melted with the mass of fibre composite of the paper layers (11, 12). To this end, the penetration regions (13, 14) essentially do not extend to the surfaces of the paper layers opposing the plastic layer (22).
