摘要： Techniques are disclosed for increasing the reliability of transferring data via in-band signaling in a audio channel of a communication network. Techniques include causing an audio decoding process to modify the decoding of audio signals for the audio channel based on obtaining an indication of in-band signaling. The modified decoding may replace an adaptive de-jitter buffer by a static de-jitter buffer or increase the buffering time of an adaptive de-jitter buffer. The decoded audio signals may be provided to an in-band message detector, an audio encoder or an audio playback device based on the indication of in-band signaling. The techniques may be employed by a user equipment, a media gateway control function or a media gateway to improve the reliability of in-band transfer of a minimum set of data (MSD) for a Next Generation eCall.

摘要： In aspects of the disclosure, a method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) are provided. In one aspect, the UE associates with an access point of a wireless local area network which may be untrusted, obtains a list comprising a plurality of public land mobile network (PLMN) entries and one or more selection conditions associated with each one of the plurality of PLMN entries, and selects a PLMN from the list when the one or more selection conditions associated with the PLMN are satisfied. The UE may further discover an evolved packet data gateway (ePDG) for the selected PLMN using one or more fully qualified domain name (FQDN) rules for the selected PLMN. The UE may then attach to the selected PLMN using the discovered ePDG.

Such mechanisms may help ensure that an ePDG capable of supporting emergency services is selected. Further, such mechanisms may help ensure that an appropriately located ePDG is selected. For example, the selected ePDG may be located in the visiting public land mobile network (VPLMN) for a roaming UE so that IMS emergency calls are routed appropriately. Selection of the ePDG may be under control of the network with which the UE is establishing connectivity for the emergency call, namely the VPLMN, as opposed to the home PLMN (HPLMN), for example. Such mechanisms may rely on knowledge that the connectivity being established is for emergency services, as well as other information regarding the UE, such as a current location of the UE.

A server receives a request to support an emergency call associated with a user equipment (UE) and sends a first PRS schedule to a first base station, the first PRS schedule configured to enable the first base station to switch to a first emergency PRS mode and to transmit PRS signals according to the first PRS schedule. The base station establishes a PRS schedule, switches to an emergency PRS mode, and transmits PRS signals in accordance with the PRS schedule. A UE initiates an emergency call, receives positioning assistance data from a server, performs terrestrial radio location positioning measurements based on the received positioning assistance data, and provides the terrestrial radio location positioning measurements or a location computed from these measurements to the server.

In another aspect, the apparatus may receive broadcast information related to a second UE and a tag associated with the broadcast information from a third UE, relay the tag without the broadcast information to a set of UEs, receive a request for broadcast information from a third UE in the set of UEs, and relay the broadcast information to the third UE.
