    • A voice call request for a voice call involving the mobile device is received in a wireless network while the mobile device is engaged in a connected data communication service via the wireless network. The service utilizes a radio traffic channel between the mobile device and the wireless network and a data session for communication of data. In response to the receiving of the voice call request, the wireless network causes the radio traffic channel for the service to be torn down without terminating the data session. The wireless network also causes a voice call involving the mobile device to be established and maintained over a new radio traffic channel via the wireless network while the data session for the service is maintained. Subsequently, the wireless network identifies an indication that the voice call involving the mobile device has ended and, in response, resumes the communication of the data in the data session over a radio traffic channel.

    • A method and system for improved buffering during a flow control event, the system comprising: a mobile station having a mobile timer; a radio network communicating wirelessly with the mobile station and including: a base station; and a packet control function (PCF) capable of interrupting the flow of data to the wireless device during the flow control event; a packet data serving node (PDSN) communicating with the PCF and having a buffer to store data received for the mobile station during the flow control event, the buffer having a buffer timer; and a push function communicating with the PDSN and having a retry timer to indicate when to resend an unacknowledged packet; wherein the system coordinates the buffer timer with either the mobile timer or the retry timer to eliminate redundant messages.

    • A test apparatus for conducting a radiated performance test on a wireless device under controlled test conditions, the test apparatus having an anechoic chamber; a test computer; and an interface, the interface adapted to connect the test computer to the wireless device, the test apparatus being adapted to: establish a data connection on the interface between the test computer and the wireless device; initialize and start a timer for a predetermined interval on the wireless device; subject the wireless device to the radiated performance test in the anechoic chamber after the predetermined interval; and analyze test results on the test computer from a test log stored on the wireless device during the radiated performance test, wherein the interface between the test computer and the wireless device is adapted to be removed during the predetermined interval; for conducting a radiated performance test on a wireless device.
