摘要： An apparatus and method for determining optimized path traversal in a radiation delivery system is described. In one embodiment, determining an optimized path traversal in a radiation delivery system involves providing a plurality of spatial nodes used in a treatment plan, where each of the plurality of spatial nodes represents a position of a radiation source made available to the treatment plan for delivering radiation to a target, identifying a number of unused spatial nodes, from among the plurality of spatial nodes, at which radiation is not delivered according to the treatment plan, and skipping travel to one or more of the unused nodes by the radiation source when administering the treatment plan. Other embodiments are also described.

摘要： An inlet door assembly and method for reducing noise from an auxiliary power unit (APU) contained within an aircraft housing is provided. The inlet assembly includes an inlet duct, an actuator, and a door. The inlet duct is configured to extend from the auxiliary power unit to the aircraft housing and has a sidewall that defines a flow passage through which APU noise propagates. The actuator is disposed at least partially within the inlet duct. The door coupled to the actuator. The actuator is also configured to selectively rotate the door between at least a first position, in which at least a portion of the door deflects APU noise in a first direction, and a second position, in which at least a portion of the door deflects the APU noise in a second direction.

摘要： A sensing device and a system using the same for detecting and analyzing grasping forces in a dynamic manner includes a number of finger pads for measuring fingertip forces and motions. Each finger pad is mounted at one end of a corresponding one of a plurality of arms. The arms are articulated to one another by being joined at their opposite ends through one or more joints that allow motion of the arms relative to each other in one or more directions. The device generates time varying signals which can be used to investigate the temporal relationships and coordination among finger actions. In addition, a mechanism is preferably provided for imposing mechanical actions and/or perturbations to the device or fingers which generate a measurable response by the fingers. The device can alternatively be employed as a computer input device in which manipulation of the various finger pads can generate signals that represent particular inputs or commands.

The tube extends through the annular baffle opening and is spaced apart from the annular baffle to define a radial gap therebetween, comprises acoustic material, and has a length and a substantially uniform cross-sectional area along the length.

摘要： The present invention provides a new trapdoor one-way function. In a general sense, some quadratic algebraic integer z is used. One then finds a curve E and a rational map defining [z] on E. The rational map [z] is the trapdoor one-way function. A judicious selection of z will ensure that [z] can be efficiently computed, that it is difficult to invert, that determination of [z] from the rational functions defined by [z] is difficult, and knowledge of z allows one to invert [z] on a certain set of elliptic curve points. Every rational map is a composition of a translation and an endomorphism. The most secure part of the rational map is the endomorphism as the translation is easy to invert. If the problem of inverting the endomorphism and thus [z] is as hard as the discrete logarithm problem in E, then the size of the cryptographic group can be smaller than the group used for RSA trapdoor one-way functions.
