    • PURPOSE:To facilitate the holding and drawing-out of a catalyst, by connecting the lower end of a center pipe to a partition plate and making it possible to vertically displace a support plate having a catalyst falling hole and a catalyst receiving metal fitting. CONSTITUTION:The lower end of a center pipe 3 is mounted to a conical partition plate 5 and a support plate 6 is positioned under a lower tube plate 4. The support plate 6 is fixed at a set position by the hanging-up rod in the pipe 7 piercing through an upper tube plate 4' and the lower tube plate 4. A catalyst receiving metal fitting 9 is mounted to the support plate 6 and inserted in the lower end of a reaction pipe 1. When a catalyst is drawn out, the hanging-up rod 8 is displaced downwardly and the upper end of the catalyst receiving metal fitting 9 is set at a position lower than the lower end of the reaction pipe 1 and the catalyst in the reaction pipe 1 is moved downwardly to the outside of the reaction pipe 1 under its own wt. and moved from the catalyst falling hole 13 of the support plate 6 to the part below the support plate 6.

    • PURPOSE:To separate and to concentrate a high-purity alcohol in reduction of energy, by bringing a raw material consisting of an alcohol, a high-boiling impurity and water into contact with a solvent in a supercritical state in counter current, reducing pressure of the prepared extracted solution at two stages and successively separating the high- boiling impurity and the solvent. CONSTITUTION:A raw material mixture comprising an organic liquid solute consisting of an alcohol and a high-boiling impurity and water is fed from a top part 1 of a counter current contact extractor 3 and a solvent having a critical temperature lower than the boiling point of the alcohol from a bottom part 2. The raw material is brought into contact with the solvent in counter current in a state wherein the solvent is in a supercritical state or psudocritical state and a light solution containing the solvent and the alcohol and a small amount of the high-boiling impurity and water is taken out from a top part 6. The pressure of the light solution is reduced 7 to pressure required from phase separation of the high-boiling impurity, introduced to an impurity separating tank 9 and a separated heavy impurity solution is fed to a middle part 11 of the device 3. The pressure of the light purified solution is reduced 14 to pressure required for phase separation of the solvent and the alcohol, introduced to a solvent separating tank 16 and the concentrated alcohol is taken out from the bottom and partially fed to the device 3.

    • PURPOSE:To pass the condensing components in gas to be separated through a porous film and to selectively separate the same by forming a condensed liquid film to the ultrafine pores of the porous film consisting of a material having affinity to the condensing components in the gas. CONSTITUTION:The porous film 1 is stuck to the surface of the porous base material 2 for rendering mechanical strength and the ultrafine pores 3 are formed to the film 1. The pores are preferably formed to about 10-20Angstrom size in order to separate steam from air. The sepn. of the condensable gas is executed by passing the gas to be separated to the left side of the film 1 and evacuating the gas from several Torr to several tens Torr from the side of the material 2 on the right side by a vacuum pump. The condensing components in the gas are condensed in the pores 3 and the liquid film is easily formed by the wettability of said components and the porous film. Since the right side of the liquid film is sucked by the vacuum pump, the liquid film evaporates. The other components have no affinity to the liquid film and cannot, therefore, pass through the liquid film.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain synthesis gas of high CO concn. and pure H2 easily, by generating synthesis gas contg. CO and H2 by decomposing methanol, generating CO also by allowing the reaction product to react with CO2, and passing the product through a gas separating membrane. CONSTITUTION:Methanol 1 is introduced into a methanol decomposition reactor 2 to cause a reaction of the formula I generating synthesis gas 3 consisting of H2 and CO in 2:1 molar ration of H2:CO. The gas 3 is then introduced into a shift reactor 4 feeding also CO2 5 to proceed shift reaction of the formula II in the presence of a catalyst to generate CO and steam. CO2 is removed then form the obtained synthesis gas 6 in a CO2 removing apparatus 7, and the steam is removed in a gas/liquid separator 9. The exit gas 10 from the gas/liquid separator is introduced into a gas separator 11 provided with a separation membrane having permselectivity for H2 to separate the gas into CO-rich synthesis gas 12 and H2 13, and separated products are recovered.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the formation of the anhydride of light hydrocarbon and water causing the flow channels between packing materials of an absorbing or regeneration tower to be narrowed, by adding a specific ratio of glycol type high b.p. alcohol to seal water recirculated to be reused and heavy oil. CONSTITUTION:After the hydrocarbon vapor 1 generated from an oil tank station or an oil factory is compressed by a water seal type compressor 2, the compressed vapor is absorbed by gasoline in a first absorbing tower 3 and subsequently absorbed by heavy oil 7 in a second absorbing tower 6. Heavy oil, in which light hydrocarbon was dissolved, is sent to a regeneration tower 11 from the bottom part of the second absorbing tower 6 and regenerated under reduced pressure to be recirculated to the second absorbing tower 6. The discharged light hydrocarbon is mixed with the hydrocarbon vapor 1 through a water seal type vacuum pump 13. Water separated in an oil-water separation tank 16 is reused as seal water of the compressor 2 and the vacuum pump 13. In this case, ethylene glycol is added to seal water and heavy oil in an amount of 20-40wt% of moisture present in seal water and heavy oil to perform operation.
