    • PURPOSE:To suppress the contamination of working gas and suppress the impact noise by the simple constitution by directly connecting a compression space and a buffer space which are partitioned by a reciprocating piston through a connecting circuit and installing a check valve in series with a purifying chamber, into the connecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a crankshaft 2 is revolved by an electric motor 1, a piston 5 moves in reciprocation in a cylinder 6, and a compression space 12 repeats compression and expansion. When the gas pressure in the compression space 12 lowers under the gas pressure in a buffer space 13, gas is introduced into the compression space 12 from the buffer space 13 through a check valve 15, passing through a connecting circuit 14 for directly connecting the both spaces. Therefore, the gas stream forms an unidirectional circuit, and aspiration action is not generated between the both spaces. Further, the gas which is formed by the slidable movements of a piston ring 7 and a cylinder 6 and contaminated by the abrasion powders which drop into the buffer space 13 and float is purified in a purifying chamber 16 formed in the connecting circuit 14.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent oil from entering into a cylinder, by separating oil contained in working gas circulating between a reaction chamber for a power piston and a crank casing, in a Stirling engine, with the use of a filter, and by pumping out oil with the use of an oil feed pump, together with oil in a distance space. CONSTITUTION:In a Stirling engine, a heater pipe 2 and a cooler pipe 4 which are connected through a regenerator 3 are continuously heated and cooled, respectively, and therefore, a gas feed piston 5 and a power piston 7 are reciprocated with a phase difference therebetween which is regulated by a crank shaft 19. In this arrangement, a gas-oil separating filter 100 is disposed in a communication pipe 12 communicating the inside of the crank casing 9 with the power piston reaction chamber 10. Further, each of the oil reserving section 100b of the filter 100, the bottom section of the crank casing 9 and the bottom section of a distance space 11 and the suction port of an oil feed pump 23 are connected together through pipes 29, 24, 30 incorporating valves 27, 26, 28 respectively, so that oil in these section may be pumped out with suitable timing.
