In one novel aspect, multi-consecutive-slot (MCSt) resources are reserved for SL-U by applying one or more resource selection rules, comprising selecting, by a MAC layer, resources excluded by a PHY layer in an exclusion step, increasing one or more selection thresholds comprising a resource exclusion RSRP threshold, a remaining resource portion after resource exclusion threshold, and a RSRP threshold.

摘要： A UE (250) obtains a channel occupancy time (COT) for a set of resources on a sidelink (SL) in an unlicensed spectrum through a channel access procedure. The UE (250) determines whether a frequency division multiplexing (FDM) transmission scheme is utilized for a SL transmission on the sidelink in the COT. The LTE (250) selects a cyclic prefix extension (CPE) starting position prior to an initial symbol containing the SL transmission. The UE (250) selects the default CPE starting position as the CPE starting position when the FDM transmission scheme is utilized. The LTE (250) randomly selects the CPE starting position from a subset of a set of all candidate CPE starting positions based on an L1 priority of the SL transmission when the FDM transmission scheme is not utilized. The UE (250) transmits a CPE at the selected CPE starting position and performs the SL transmission after the CPE transmission.

摘要： Methods and apparatus are provided for paging enhancement for the UE in the LC-MTC mode. In one novel aspect, the UE determines if the UE is in CE mode, obtains a set of narrow-band resource blocks reserved for LC-MTC paging messages and decodes a paging message based on the obtained narrow-band resource blocks. In one embodiment, the paging message occupies a predefined narrow band resource blocks without control information. In another embodiment, MPDCCH is used as control message to schedule narrow-band paging messages. In one embodiment, the MPDCCH searching space comprises a paging narrow-band selected from the set of narrow bands based on a UE ID. In another novel aspect, methods for PO detection are provided. The UE obtains a set of common paging narrow-bands from a higher layer configuration, determines a paging occasion to monitor paging message, decodes paging messages within the obtained common paging narrow-band, and performs combination.

In one novel aspect, the UE (111), configured one or more SL resource pools, determines an applicability of the occupied channel bandwidth (OCB), and configures OCB-compliance SL synchronization signal block (S-SSB) based on the OCB requirement, wherein the OCB-compliance S-SSB is included in or excluded from the one or more SL resource pools to the meet the OCB requirements. In one embodiment, the S-SSB is excluded from the SL resource pool and the S-SSB is transmitted repeatedly in the frequency domain multiple times or transmitted interlaced in frequency domain based on the OCB requirement. In one embodiment, the SL synchronization signal blocks are included in the SL resource pool and are multiplexed with other transmissions in the frequency domain multiplexed (FDM) mode or time domain multiplexed (TDM) mode.
