    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the excitation of halogen lamps when a range is slanted so that the range will not be used under a condition except horizontal condition by a method wherein the halogen range is provided with a temperature sensor, an inclination detecting sensor and an alarming means in the range unit of the same, immediately below a heat resistant glass and provided with the halogen lamps as a heating source. SOLUTION: A range unit 11, having two pieces of halogen lamps 10 as a heat source, is provided immediately below a heat resistant glass 9. The upper part of the range unit 11 is opened and is abutted against the heat resistant glass 9 by a spring 13 so as to be contacted closely to the heat resistant glass 9. In this case, the halogen range 8 is provided with an inclination detecting sensor 14, arranged to detect the inclination of the range 8. Upon the starting of using of the halogen range 8, the inclination detecting sensor 14 detects the slanting degree of the halogen lamps 10 whereby the halogen lamps will not be excited and heating operation can not be effected even when an operating switch is turned ON under a condition except a normal horizontal condition while retaining the heating top surface, consisting of the heat resistant glass 9 to put a heating vessel thereon, at the upper part of the range at all times.

    • PURPOSE:To treat a large proportion of smoke with a high efficiency for purifying sooty smoke by a method wherein a fan draws out smoke produced from food under heating and the smoke is made to undergo oxidation decomposition with the aid of an oxidation catalyst heated by the heat from heaters. CONSTITUTION:The top plate 2 of a cooking chamber 1 has air discharge holes 3 opened at the rear part by punching as vents opening into an air discharge passageway 5 formed in a space between the top plate 2 and an insulator 4. A porous material 6 of inorganic fiber in loose form, which carries an oxidation catalyst in a dispersed state, is fixed to the air discharge passageway 5. By the suction of a fan 11, the smoke produced from food 7 under heating is drawn into the air discharge holes 3, passed through the porous inorganic fiber material 6, and discharged through a discharge outlet 9. During this passage, the sooty or odoriferous component of the discharged air undergoes decomposition by virtue of the catalyst, which is heated by upper heaters 8, and is then eliminated. When the temperature of the porous inorganic fiber material 6 falls, for example, while lower heaters 10 are working, the porous inorganic fiber material 6 serves as a filter for the smoke so that a fairly large proportion of smoke is adsorbed for a time and burnt out when the temperature rises again.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the biasing in the electric charge of the film and to lower the cleaning temp. by consisting the film of the oxide of specific metals, CeO2, a solid acid compd., the oxide or carbonate of Li and Sr, and silicon binder and adjusting the pH of boiling extraction components to a weakly alkaline or neutral region. CONSTITUTION:The heat resistant film is formed of the oxides of one or >=2 kinds of the metals selected from Fe, Mn, Cu, Co, and Ni, the CeO2, the solid acid compd., the carbonate or oxide of one or >=2 kinds of the elements of the Li and Sr and the silicon binder and has the pH of the boiling extraction components in the weakly alkaline or neutral region. The cutting of the inter- carbon bonds of the oil in the oil contamination cleaning effect of this film is executed mainly by the solid acid effect and the oxidation by the oxidation effect of the metal oxide. The recombination of the carbon radicals generated by the solid acid is prevented by taking advantage of the basicity of the carbonate or oxide of the alkaline metals and alkaline earth metals. The pH of the boiling extraction components of the film is preferably in the neutral region or is alkaline in order to effectively develop the above-mentioned effects.
