摘要： Provided are a functional porous film having a plurality of functions, a method of manufacturing the same, and a sensor using the same. In the functional porous film, a functional portion having a different function from a porous body is disposed on the inner wall of a pore of the porous body. The functional porous film is formed through forming a precursor film including a pore-forming powder such as an organic powder on which a material powder of the functional portion is deposited and a material powder of the porous body, and then heating the precursor film to remove the pore-forming powder and sinter the material powder of the porous body.

摘要： A sewing cartridge includes a housing case and an openable cover. The housing case has a housing area for accommodating a thread therein, and the openable cover has a thread holding mechanism for holding the thread supplied from the housing area. In the sewing cartridge, the housing case is movable with respect to the openable cover. While the thread supplied from the housing area is hold, the sewing cartridge is attached to a sewing apparatus. In this state, when the housing case is moved up and down with respect to the openable cover, a predetermined length of the thread can be drawn from the housing area while the thread holding mechanism holds the thread with an adequate holding strength.

摘要： In a valve-operating mechanism in a 4-cycle engine, a timing transmitting device is disposed on one side of an engine body. A cam device includes a cam coupled to a driven pulley of the timing transmitting device on one side of a cylinder head, intake and exhaust rocker shafts rotatably carried in the cylinder head, intake and exhaust cam followers secured to one ends of the rocker shafts with their tip ends in sliding contact with the cam, and intake and exhaust rocker arms secured to the other ends of the intake and exhaust rocker shafts with their tip ends abutting against the intake and exhaust valves. Thus, the cam of the cam device can be disposed on one side of the cylinder head to effectively reduce the entire height of the engine.

摘要： A zig zag sewing machine having a feed device for feeding a workpiece in a feed direction on a work bed, an endwise reciprocable needle bar for carrying a needle, and a support member joggable laterally with respect to the feed direction and supporting the needle bar, including a detector having a light emitting portion and a light receiving portion and disposed on the support member for detecting the edge of the workpiece extending in the feed direction. The detector is movable laterally with respect to the feed direction in a predetermined positional relation with the support member at least when the support member is laterally moved. The lateral positions of the support member and the detector are changed by a driving device which is controlled so that an amount of light received by the light receiving portion coincides with a predetermined amount, whereby successive stitches to be formed by the needle are placed on a line which is away from the workpiece edge by a predetermined constant distance.
