    • PURPOSE:To decide an abnormal water quality with high accuracy by providing some set value in the water depth direction of a bleeding water tank and bringing the frequency of fishes for floating up exceeding said value to statistic processing, based on its binary image. CONSTITUTION:Water to be inspected is supplied to a water tank 10 by a feed water pipe 11 and a feed water pump 12. Also, light equipments 15A-15C illuminate a fish 14 in the water tank 10. At the opposite side of the water tank 10 seen from the equipments 15A-15C, an image pickup device 20 such as an industrial television camera, etc. is placed, and in this place, the device 20 brings a bleeding space 19 to image pickup. A signal of the device 20 is led to an image monitoring device 30. In this state, first of all, a photographed image is fetched at every time interval (h) which has been set in advance and a fish body is brought to image recognition, and the center of gravity and a speed of the fish body are calculated. At every time interval (h), the center of gravity and the speed of the fish are calculated successively, and its result is stored in a memory. Based on this memory information, a statistic pattern of the position (center of gravity) and the speed of the fish in a measurement time T which has been set in advance is calculated and an action of the fish 14 is monitored, and based on a result of this monitoring, in the case of abnormality, an alarm is given.

    • PURPOSE:To stabilize sludge setting properties for a long period without affecting badly active sludge of different kind phase by providing a means to control the injection quantity of an aggregating agent basing on the measured features amount of microbes. CONSTITUTION:Mixed liquid 9 of an aeration tank 1 is photographed by a photographing device 10, and thread-like microbes and aggregating microbes in active sludge contained in the mixed liquid 9 is represented in images by an image recognizing means 20, and then the mixture of the thread-like microbes and average diameter of aggregating microbes are found out of said represented images by a features amount computing means 30. An output value from said computing means 30 is compared with a set value of a setting means 100 by a judging means 40 to judge whether bulking of sludge in or not. As a result, in case bulking of active sludge is judged to exist, sludge settling properties are stabilized for a long period of time by a regulating means 50 actuated correspondingly to the factor of the bulking image, operating an aggregating agent device 80 and controlling the quantity of aggregating agent injected from a storage tank 18 into the aeration tank 1.

CONSTITUTION:An inflow sewage 3 and a return sludge 4 are introduced to an aeration tank 1. A suspension camera 11 is immersed into the aeration tank 1 and a density image of the suspension 9 to be taken is converted into a digital signal to be stored into a density image memory means 20. A correction image obtained by a density brightness correction means 30 is applied to an image recognition means 40 to separate and recognize active pollution and a liquid phase part and the number of all pixels in an area where active sludge exists is computed by a characteristic value computing means 50 to be stored into a characteristic value memory means 80. Projection area of the active sludge stored in the means 80 is outputted into a sludge density computing means 100 by judgement with an image recognition/judgement means 90 and the density of the active sludge as computed is outputted and displayed. Thus, the density of the sludge with the shape and size being unavoidably uncertain can be detected at a high accuracy.

    • PURPOSE:To secure the safety of an inflow water at a purification plant and a sewage treating plant, by detecting an abnormal behavior of fish from a gravity center position and speed of fish. CONSTITUTION:A camera device 3 recognizes an image of fish 11 in a water tank 1 and sends an electric signal corresponding to the brightness of a pixel recognized to an image processor 4. The processor 4 recognizes fish 11 based on image information thereof 11 obtained with the device 3 to calculate the gravity center G thereof 11. An output signal of the gravity center G from the processor 4 is transmitted to a central arithmetic unit 6 to compute a moving speed of the fish 11 from a signal of the gravity center G. This processing is repeated for a specified time to compute a distribution of gravity centers and speeds of the fish 11. Here, when the distribution thus obtained gives a difference above a deviation preset in comparison with the normal distribution, the behavior of the fish 11 is determined to be abnormal and the results of the judgement are sent to an alarm 8. Thus, the behavior of the fish 11 is monitored continuously and quantitatively according to the gravity center position and the moving speed thereof thereby securing the safety of water at a purification plant or the like.

Position adjusters 9 and 10 control extents of driving of drivers 31 and 32 in accordance with deviations of new input signals from current position signals, and the enlarging power is arbitrarily changed by this operation without interchanging the objective lens.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a correct sample, by providing a fixed transmitting window and a mobile transmitting window at liquid introduction section communicating with the suspension of a container body while an objective lens, an image fiber, an optical fiber are mounted on the container body from outside to enable the sterilizing operation by heat. CONSTITUTION:A water-proofed cameral body 40 is mounted on a reaction tank 1 holding a suspension 10 containing microorganism or the like. The body 40 is provided with two waterproof chambers and a sample chamber 49 communicating with suspension 10 is provided between the two chambers. A fixed transmitting window 52A and a mobile transmitting chamber 52B are mounted on the surface facing the sample chamber 49 and the distance between two windows are freely expandable. An objective lens 42 for a microscope and an image fiber 60 is mounted on the center axis line of the windows and further, an optical fiber 70 is mounted therebelow, all installed to a unit body 40 from outside. Light emitted from the optical fiber 70 is introduced to the objective lens 42 via prisms 51A and 51B and the transmitting windows 52B and 52A to form an image of aq microorganism on an end face of the image fiber 60.
