    • PURPOSE:To reduce the dimension of the captioned apparatus and obtain high vacuum degree and large amount of wind by forming a long and a short discharge flow passages on the outer periphery of a fan and arranging the communication ports to the discharge ports formed at the terminal edges of the above-described flow passage, at the center corner part of a box body and obtaining high vacuum degree by means of a long discharge flow passage and a large amount of wind by means of a short discharge passage. CONSTITUTION:The air which is filtered by a filter 70 is discharged from a centrifugal fan 40 and flows into a flow passage 51, communication hole 61, flow passage 52, communication hole 62, discharge flow passage 53, and a communication hole 63, and is discharged from a discharge port 12. The air which flows into the flow passage 51 is sufficiently decelerated, since the flow passage to the communication hole 61 is long, and said air is efficiently transformed from dynamic pressure to static pressure. The air which flows into the discharge flow passage 52 and 53 generates little frictional loss on flow passage wall 55 and 56, since each flow passage to the communication holes 62 and 63 is short, and a large amount of wind can be obtained. Therefore, the amount of wind and the vacuum degree which are necessary for improving the dust collection efficiency of a dust collector can be obtained efficiently by the combination of the flow passage 51 and the flow passage 52 and 53.
