摘要： An endosteal ligament retainer for use in an arthroscopic surgical procedure to replace an anterior or posterior cruciate ligament, the retainer for endosteally mounting a ligament end, with or without a stent, tendon, or the like into the endosteum end of a femoral or tibial tunnel section. The embodiments of the retainer, include a disk shaped base, that can be axially pivotally mounted to a screw head end and may be holed or include upstanding arcuate walls projecting from the disk edge that are for securing a ligament end thereto, as by sewing with a suture. Alternatively, a center holed disk and screw fitted axially therethrough make up the retainer, which disk includes spaced apart radial holes for receiving a suture or sutures sewn therethrough and to a ligament end, mounting the disk across that ligament end. Additionally, the retainer can be a disk fixed across a rear end of a nail or peg to attached a ligament graft end thereto, the nail or peg leading or forward end to include spaced individual flexing rings that will collapse opposite to the direction or travel into a close fitting tunnel end to then flex outwardly, locking in the endosteum when a tensile force is applied thereto.A driver is provided for fitting longitudinally through or alongside a ligament graft, which driver connects to either turn the screw or urge the nail or peg into the tunnel endosteum end. The driver, ligament and endosteal ligament retainer are for fitting by a surgeon into and along the aligned femoral and tibial tunnels into a prepared bone endosteum tunnel end for endosteally mounting the ligament graft end thereto.

When the Achilles tendon referencing feature references an Achilles tendon of a patient, the target may be aligned with a mechanical axis of a tibia of the patient in the vicinity of an ankle joint of the patient in an anterior view. Another Achilles tendon alignment system may include an Achilles receiver and a target configured to couple with the Achilles receiver. The Achilles receiver may include a notch configured to receive an Achilles tendon of a patient. When the Achilles receiver is coupled with the target, the target is located at a target position anterior to the notch.

摘要： A system for restoring articular cartilage has a cover, an anchor, and a tether that cooperate to retain graft tissue with respect to a graft site. The cover is attached to the anchor via the tether. The tether passes through a tunnel through a bone to which the articular cartilage is attached. The tunnel may be blind or may extend through the bone. The anchor is retained within the tunnel such that tension in the tether keeps the cover in place over the tissue graft. The anchor may receive the tether such that the tether can only pass through the anchor along one direction. Thus, tension applied to the tether between the anchor and the tissue graft is automatically maintained by the anchor. After passing through the anchor, the tether may exit the tunnel through the graft site, or through the opposite side of the bone.

摘要： A facet joint replacement system includes an inferior implant with an inferior articular surface, and a superior implant with a superior articular surface. The inferior implant may comprise an inferior strut, and a polyaxially adjustable, lockable mechanism which couples the inferior articular surface with a first end of the inferior strut. A second end of the inferior strut may be secured to a polyaxially adjustable, lockable fixation assembly securable in a vertebra. The first end of the inferior strut may be post-shaped, and the second end ring-shaped, and vice versa. The superior implant may be secured to a polyaxially adjustable lockable fixation assembly securable in a vertebra. Inferior and superior implants may be implanted individually, paired on one lateral vertebral side, bi-laterally, and/or in multiple vertebral levels. A crosslink may be secured to one implant and extend across a vertebral sagittal plane to a second implant. A clip may align the articular surfaces during implantation.

摘要： The present invention comprises a set of instruments and a method for their use in preparing a knee joint to receive knee implants. The inventive instruments and method are generally suitable for knee joint surgery. Furthermore, they include features that make them suitable for performing a minimally invasive knee surgery in which a smaller than normal incision is made and oriented to preserve the quadriceps mechanism and protect the suprapatellar pouch. The instruments permit switching from a minimally invasive technique to a standard open technique at any point in the procedure. An illustrative set of instruments for total knee arthroplasty and an associated minimally invasive technique are described.
