    • PURPOSE: A dye-sensitized solar cell which includes a high efficiency light scattering layer is provided to improve power generation efficiency without reducing an effective power generation area by not covering a side surface of a lowermost photo-electrode layer which is most closely located to a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION: A multilayer photo-electrode layer(5,5') is arranged on a conductive substrate(2). The average particle size of the photo-electrode layer is 10 to 200nm. A light scattering layer(4) is arranged on the uppermost part of the multilayer photo-electrode layer. The average particle size of the light scattering layer is 200 to 600nm. The light scattering layer is connected to the upper outer circumferential part of a lowermost photo-electrode layer and covers the entire part of other photo-electrode layers.
