    • A novel fuse holder for a fuse as described for a fuse of the type having two generally flat, parallel spaced apart, oppositely disposed electrical contacts. The fuse holder comprises an insulating block and a fuse clip which is formed from a single strip of electrically conducting material and which is carried within the fuse block. The fuse clip features an elongated base member, a pair of spaced apart arms joined to one end of the base member, and a pair of springingly loaded, generally elongated, bifurcated fuse accepting contacts. Each fuse accepting contact is comprised of a flat fuse contacting section and a flat fuse accepting section.

    • A fuseholder and method for manufacturing thereof, the fuse holder having a cap and a molded body to receive a fuse. The fuse holder has a first contact located at one end of the body to engage one end of the fuse. A cylindrical second contact having opposed J-shaped slots is disposed near the other end of the body. Engaging the other end of the fuse is a connector having a pair of tabs receivable by the J-shaped slots to form a conductive bayonet connection between the connector and the second contact. Protrusions on the connector slidably engage the second contact to maintain conductive contact therebetween if the bayonet connection is broken. The fuse holder can be adapted by modifying the connector or by using an adaptor to accommodate shorter fuses. To manufacture the fuse holder, the first and second contacts are insert-molded into the body.

    • A process for nickel plating a cylindrically shaped hollow core mandrel suitable for chromium plating for use in an electroforming process for the production of endless seamless nickel xerographic belts, is disclosed. The process comprises providing a hollow core aluminum or aluminum alloy cylindrically shaped member and (1) anodizing this core member by using this core member as an anode in an anodizing bath where the cathode comprises lead or lead alloys and (2) nickel plating this anodized core member in a nickel electroforming bath where the core member becomes the cathode and the anode is nickel or nickel alloy. Additionally and optionally, this core member may then be (3) subjected to an acid dip bath where the core member remains for a particular length of time and, additionally, then the core member is (4) plated with chromium by placing the core member in a chromium electroplating bath with a metal anode of lead or lead alloys.
