A xanthene conjugate is obtained by compounding a derivative of the formula with at least one kind of a biological molecule (preferably, a mononucleotide or the like). The conjugate is suitably used for diagnostic analysis, nucleic acid analysis or the like.

Then, the covering foil 6 is glued to the detection film 5 so that the channel 3 is continuously connected to a free end part, to which the detection film 5 opposes, from the free end part of the covering foil 6 on a recessed part (notch) 4 of the carrier layer 1, thus composing an analysis inspection element.
