    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement method using a solar simulator and light amount adjustment means for use in the solar simulator, with drastically improved positional unevenness of illuminance not on the light source device side but on the light receiving plane side of a measurement target that receives light from the light source, in the solar simulator for measuring the output characteristic of a solar cell.SOLUTION: The output characteristic of a solar cell Ms of the measurement target is measured by a solar simulator Ss including a light source device 6 having a light source lamp and a lamp light reflection portion, and a measurement target set unit capable of oppositely disposing the light receiving plane of the measurement target relative to the light radiation plane of the light source device 6. At the measurement, the entire region of the light receiving plane of the solar cell Ms is virtually divided into a plurality of light receiving sections, and a light amount adjustment member 8 selected for each virtually divided light receiving plane section is disposed. By doing this, after the illuminance by the light source device 6 is made uniform or substantially uniform for each light receiving plane section, the light receiving plane is irradiated with light from the light source device 6.
