    • In an exemplary method, communications data representative of communication instances of distinct types is converged and a graphical user interface (“GUI”) including a set of listings representative of a grouping of the communication instances of distinct types is displayed. In certain embodiments, at least one of the communication instances represented in the set of listings includes a voice type communication instance. In certain embodiments, a user selection of one of the listings displayed in the GUI is detected, the selected listing associated with a contact, and another set of listings representative of another grouping of converged communication instances of distinct types is displayed in response to the user selection. In certain embodiments, each of the communication instances in the other grouping is associated with the contact. In certain embodiments, the other set of listings is displayed as a subset within the set of listings in the GUI.

A position of the graphical object relative to the radial configuration of time based information in the graphical user interface is configured to indicate a relationship between the event and the time based information. In certain embodiments, the radial configuration of time based information includes a visual representation of an analog clock face, and the graphical object includes a tab positioned along a perimeter of the analog clock face. In certain embodiments, the radial configuration of time based information includes a visual representation of a timeline spirally disposed about at least one axis point, and the graphical object is positioned along a section of the timeline.

    • A virtual keyboard may be created on the display screen or soft input panel of a portable electronic device. The virtual keyboard may be created such that it is larger than the screen size of the portable electronic device. The virtual keyboard may be moved or slid across the screen to gain access to the keys thereon. Movement of the portable electronic device may be used to cause a corresponding movement of the virtual keyboard. The movement of the portable electronic device may be measured through the use of accelerometer data. The virtual keyboard may be configured by the user of the portable electronic device.

    • Exemplary embodiments may provide a computer implemented system and method that may integrate both sales and service functions of a customer service representative on a desktop user interface. A comprehensive set of customer service goals derived from a large sample of actual customer calls may be empirically identified. Desired customer sales goals may be integrated into the comprehensive list of service goals. The integrated set of service and sales goals may be presented in a user interface. A recommendation engine, to present in highlighted form, which subset of goals a customer service representative should pursue with a given customer, when to pursue them, and for how long, may be incorporated. A delineation of a step-by-step process (using “wizards” or “assistants”) may be provided for each goal.
