A sterilizing field is generated within the cavity of the sterilizer. A cap mounted on the end of the fill tube is removed from the fill tube while in the cavity. A fill port is disposed within the cavity. The fill tube is fluid coupled with the fill port in the cavity of the sterilizer while the dispensing end of the fill tube and the fill port are exposed to the sterilizing field. A fluid is passed from the fill tube to the fill port.

摘要： The present invention relates to a package for storing, mixing, resuspending, and dispensing sterile or non-sterile solutions or suspensions. The invention comprises a collapsible, sterilizable bag (1) having fittings for tubes (13, 15) which provide for the introduction and exit of fluids and solids into and out of the bag (1). A mixing block (60) having spray arms (66) is also provided within the bag (1) for mixing and resuspending the contents within the collapsible bag (1). Dip tubes (10, 11) are provided to withdraw liquid from the bag and is recirculated through a return tube (12) which is connected to the mixing block (60). The recirculated liquid is channeled to spray arms (66) and is reintroduced into the bag (1) through ports (64, 69) thereby providing a closed loop system for mixing. Additionally, a structural support device (2) is provided for supporting the collapsible bag during shipment, filling, and dispensing. Unlike conventional stainless steeel equipment, the system is disposable, does not require cleaning, provides for safe, rapid and accurate resuspension of suspended solids, and can accommodate a wide range of liquid volumes.

The substance is covalently bound in its active state on a carrier of a solid, preferably porous, organic or inorganic material thereby making it suitable for use in the so-called HPLC or HPLAC technique for the separation of e.g. biomolecules. Examples of useful inorganic materials are silica or glass, or organic materials such as plastics or polysaccharides. Separation takes place by the mobile liquid being led through the column packed with the immobilized active substance of weak affinity for the complementary substances. Examples of such immobilized ligands are antibodies or fragments thereof, antigens or fragments thereof and various receptor substances.

The carousel is rotatably coupled with the housing so that when the first end of each fluid path is aligned with the inlet port on the housing, the second end of each fluid path is aligned with a corresponding different one of the plurality of outlet ports. A container is fluid coupled to each outlet port by a fluid line. The inlet port can be selectively coupled with a fluid source while a motor can control rotation of the carousel relative to the housing.

摘要： A method for inactivating a fluid culture includes inserting a collapsible bag within a chamber of a tank assembly. A fluid is dispensed into a compartment of the collapsible bag, the fluid including a culture containing live cells or microorganisms. A lid is positioned over an opening of the tank assembly so that the collapsible bag is substantially enclosed within the tank assembly. The fluid within the collapsible bag is heated to an inactivation temperature that is sufficiently high to kill all of the live cells or microorganisms within the fluid. In one embodiment, the fluid within the flexible bag is mixed while the fluid is being heated to the inactivation temperature.
