    • A device for measuring five parameters which define the riding position of a bicycle, which device may also be used as a jig to guide adjustment. The five parameters measured are: position height, saddle setback, saddle angle, reach to the bars, and bar angle The device treats these parameters as functions of a given rider's anatomy, and compensating adjustments factor out changes in crank length, height of shoe sole or height of pedal which would otherwise alter a rider's “reach” to the pedals. The device includes the scales and gauges needed to perform all measurements or to be used as a jig, as well as the fittings needed to attach it to a bicycle. No other tools are needed, and no disassembly of the bicycle, including crank bolts or cranks, is needed.

    • A family of light-weight, durable, resilient tile spacers adapted for insertion into intersecting joint spaces between tile courses, and to be left in place after the spaces have been filled with grout. Each spacer has a plurality of thin-walled hollow limbs that project radially into the intersecting joint spaces. The side walls of the limbs are compressed by the tiles on either side of the joint spaces, the amount of compression being limited by the abutment of structural elements formed on the inner faces of the side walls with stops positioned within the limbs. In one embodiment of the invention, pairs of structural elements are mounted to the limbs' respective side walls. In another, pairs of structural elements are mounted to both of the limbs' side walls. Grout figs the submerged hollow limbs during the grouting process and upon curing permanently seals and immobilizes the spacer.

    • A pair of extensions for a gauge for measuring objects is disclosed. Various construction details are developed that provide extensions that may be used to determine the size of objects, such as gemstones, that are embedded within a structure and not accessible by conventional gauges. In a particular embodiment, a pair of extensions each having a sleeve and a member extending outward from the sleeve. The sleeve fits over a finger of the arms of a gauge and includes a set screw to attach the sleeve to the finger. The members include contact surfaces to be placed in contact the object to be measured. In another particular embodiment, at least one of the extensions has a tapered cross-section such that the distal end of the cross-section is sized to be inserted within the structure surrounding the object to be measured.

    • A ride height gauge comprising a frame and an indicating mechanism. The frame preferably includes an upright and a generally horizontal base attached to the upright to form a right angle joint. The indicating mechanism preferably includes an arm, an arm mount, and an indicator device. The arm is attached to the arm mount, and the arm mount is slidably attached to the upright. The arm has a vertical position along the upright. The indicator device quantifies the vertical position of said arm. The indicator device may either be an analog device or a digital device. A method for using the ride height gauge to measure the ride height of an automobile chassis includes the steps of positioning the gauge directly under a corner of the chassis, sliding the arm upward until the arm contacts the chassis, and reading the quantified vertical position of the arm from the indicator device.

The lever arm is pivotally mounted to a mounting means to the rear side of the vehicle.
