摘要： A post box comprises a defence mechanism, which includes an audible alarm 22, a closure flap 42, a fire extinguisher and a liquid dye discharge system, for protecting the box in the event of an attack. The defence mechanism is activated in response to a signal from a sensor means for sensing the attack. The sensor means may be a heat sensor or a smoke detector for detecting a fire in the box or it may comprise a liquid detector. Once the sensor means has been activated the alarm 22 is sounded and the closure flap 42 is released to seal the box preventing further access by the attacker and starving any fire of oxygen. The dye discharge system is activated to mark the attacker to help in detection. The box is constructed of a fire resistant plastics and has a container portion for retaining liquids poured into the box.

摘要： A device 2 for gripping differently sized objects 4 that require rotating by hand, which device 2 comprises a length of flexible material which in use is formed into a part circle 8 of a diameter appropriate to a chosen object to be gripped, and a handle portion 10. The flexible material may be of rubber or plastic and sufficiently inelastic that it will not noticeably stretch during rotation. The device may have a member 16 for receiving a person's thumb during use of the device, the member 16 having a body part (18, fig 4) and a pair of straps (20, fig 4) which permit the body part to slide. The device may be joined at the handle end by means of bonding material (fig 3), retractable press studs (fig 9), by riveting the adjacent ends together (fig 6), or by a link (fig 7). The device may have a scalloped or roughened outer surface for gripping purposes (36, fig 3). The inner surface of the device may be ribbed, roughened or toothed in order to grip the object. The teeth may be made from metal.

摘要： A removable sleeve grip (8) which may be replaced when worn is made of a rubber or a stretchable plastics material and is fitted over the tool handle to facilitate firm gripping of the handle. The grip may be tubular or longitudinally split and may be provided with one or more ribs 14 at each end. The surface of the grip can be formed with a plurality of walls 12 each surrounding a through hole 10 in the grip. 摘要： A device (16) for loading paper into a slide binder (4, 6), has a generally U-shaped cross-section with a pair of side walls (18, 20) which are biased towards each other. One end (24) has facility for insertion of the device in one end of the slide binder. The other end (28) has outwardly extending side wall portions, for sliding over papers (2) to be received by the slide binder, which act to guide the papers (2) into the device and thus into the slide binder. In one embodiment (Fig 3) they also act to engage on the adjacent end (26) of the slide binder to stop the device sliding into the slide binder. In other embodiments (figs 4 to 7) abutment members (38) act to stop the device sliding into the slide binder. A storage clip (34) is also provided.
