    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting terminal fitting mounting failure wherein the mounting failure of the terminal fittings to the connector housing can be detected precisely.
      SOLUTION: The connector housing is vertically equipped with a plurality of cavities into which terminal fittings are inserted, and a cantilever arm shaped lance 30 protruded on a partition wall 20W between the vertically furnished cavities, and a flexible space 20F between the lance 30 and the partition wall 20W. In the connector housing, when the terminal fittings are inserted from one side of the cavity toward the other side, the lance 30 is elastically bent and deformed and pushed up toward the upper flexible space 20F by the terminal fittings. When the terminal fittings is further inserted into the cavity, the lance 30 is restored back from the flexible space 20F, and slipping-out prevention of the terminal fittings is carried out since its locking part 30K is engaged with locking grooves formed on the terminal fittings. When the lever stops at the half fitting operating position just before the full fitting operating position, the detection member interferes with the operating part of the lever and is blocked from sliding and notifies non-completion operation of the lever.
