The mist generated by the mist generation means is convected in the generation room by the wind taken in from the wind supply port to be supplied from the mist outlet port to the storage room.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of mold especially in a heat exchanger of an air conditioner to the utmost without requiring replacement, replenishment or the like of a component to the utmost and without requiring special handling in disposal, and to efficiently remove a musty odor generated therefrom.
      SOLUTION: In this air cleaner, a space discharge mechanism 7 and a photocatalyst module 8 are disposed on the upstream side of the heat exchanger 3 of the vehicle air conditioner, and an ozone decomposing catalyst 13 is disposed in the downstream. The heat exchanger 3 can be sterilized by bactericidal action of ozone generated in the space discharge mechanism 7 to prevent the generation of the mold. When air in a vehicle is circulated through the heat exchanger 3, an odor component in the vehicle, the musty odor generated from the heat exchanger 3 or the like is efficiently decomposed and removed by photocatalyst action of the photocatalyst module 8 and oxidizability of activated oxygen caused by decomposition of ozone.
