摘要： In a digital video signal recording/reproducing apparatus for recording digital VCR video and audio signals by using a rotary cylinder, for a video signal with a frame frequency fN of 30 Hz or 29.97 Hz, the rotating frequency of the cylinder is set to 2.5 times fN. On the other hand, for a signal with a frame frequency fP of 25 Hz, the rotating frequency of the cylinder is set to 3.0 times fP. As a result, as long as the cylinder diameters are identical, the relative speed of the tape and the head is the same for video signals of either frame frequency fN or fP.

摘要： A video signal digital recording and reproducing apparatus includes: a rearranging section for rearranging a sequence of signals on a rectangular unit by rectangular unit basis formed by sectioning a group of pixel data on a screen of a digital video signal; an encoding section for subjecting the signals in the rectangular units to bit rate reduction; a block forming section for gathering plural number of the coded rectangular units to constitute a block of signals, and a recording the block of signals section for recording on a recording medium. The rearranging section divides the screen into plural regions, takes out the rectangular units by a certain number in order from each region, and carries out rearrangement so that mutually corresponding rectangular units which are contained respectively in adjacent blocks on the recording medium are mutually adjacent on the screen. The recording section is constituted so that the blocks signals are recorded simultaneously in parallel on the recording medium by using plural channels. The rearranging section may have such a constitution that the screen is divided into plural regions and the rectangular units are taken out by a certain number in order from each region, and rearrangement is carried out to that mutually corresponding rectangular units which are contained respectively in adjacent or neighboring blocks to be simultaneously recorded in parallel by the plural channels on the recording section are mutually adjacent on the screen.

The resulting data are rearranged after the data compression and then recorded sequentially onto a video track of a magnetic tape in the same order as that in the frame. In a high-speed playback mode, only the lower frequency component data is decoded every sync block, so that the data reproduced from one video track adjoin each other in the playback picture on the screen.

摘要： A signal processing apparatus for use in a digital video signal reproducing apparatus for reproducing digital signal presented in sync blocks is disclosed. Each sync block has a fixed area for low frequency data and five subsequent sync blocks define a sharing group for sharing high frequency data. The signal processing apparatus includes an inner and outer correction circuit for correcting errors in the sync blocks. An error flag is provided to a sync block which still has an error remaining after the processing in the correction circuit. A memory is provided for storing errorless sync blocks of one frame. A substitution switch is provided for passing the errorless sync blocks, but substituting a sync block stored in the memory for a sync block still having some errors. Five sync blocks produced from the substitution switch are held in a delay. When no substitute sync block is detected in the five sync blocks in the delay, the data in the five sync blocks are decoded by a bit rate reduction decoder. But, when one to four substitute sync block is detected in the five sync blocks in the delay, only the low frequency data of the five sync blocks in the fixed area are decoded by the bit rate reduction decoder.

摘要： In recording and reproducing the digital video signals by bit rate reduction, if they are copied while being subjected to bit rate reduction, no accumulation of distortions in orthogonal transformation or bit rate reduction occurs, and moreover, copying can be done at a low data rate. On the other hand, in case of dividing the data into blocks in each page and transmitting or recording and reproducing the data by block, by concealing the error by the data having the strongest correlation out of the data located in the pages before and after the block in which error has been detected, no degradation in image quality is induced even when the scene changes between pages. Further, at the same time, by detecting the previous concealment information, if there exists a block which was previously concealed in the block in which error has at present been detected, then the data can be fully reproduced by utilizing it, and degradation in image quality can be reduced to a minimum. Also, if degradation in image quality is reduced to a minimum, then the degradation in image quality in the case of repeated copying is reduced to a minimum.

摘要： The video signal input is converted to high-speed reproduction data by a high-speed reproduction data encoder 1. The video signal input is converted to high-speed reproduction data by a formatter 2, which formats the high-speed reproduction data so that the same data is recorded to n tracks. After the recorded data is input to an error correction encoder 3, it is decoded by a decoder 4 and recorded by a recording head 5 to the magnetic tape 6. During reproduction, the recorded data is reproduced by reproduction head 7 from the magnetic tape 6, and decoded by decoder 8. The decoded data is then error corrected by an error correction decoder 9, and then input to a deformatter 10. The deformatter 10 separates the normal reproduction data from the high-speed reproduction data, and separately outputs both data types. During normal reproduction, the normal reproduction data is output by a switch 13; the high-speed reproduction data is decoded to video data by a high-speed reproduction data decoder during high speed reproduction, and output.
