The cable includes a connector, a second fuse, and a power line. The charging and discharging device is configured to convert AC power supplied from a commercial AC power source into DC power and to supply the DC power to the electric storage device via the cable in a charging mode. The charging and discharging device is configured to convert DC power supplied from the electric storage device via the cable into AC power and to supply the AC power to a load in a discharging mode. The first fuse is configured to be melted and cut earlier than the second fuse when the power line causes a short circuit in the discharging mode.

The first electrode is connected to the inlet and the second electrode is connected to the electric storage device. The bidirectional thyristor is configured to cause a DC current to flow in a direction from the first electrode to the second electrode in a charging mode and to cause a DC current to flow in a direction from the second electrode to the first electrode in a discharging mode.
