摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eddy current decelerator which enables the adjustment of a parking brake without removing a rotor from the boss of a rotary shaft. SOLUTION: This eddy current decelerator decelerates a rotating cylindrical unit 5 with a magnetic field. The cylindrical unit 5 is connected to a rotary shaft 5 with a disc side plate 14 having a hole 20 at its center. The shapes of the cylindrical unit 5 and the side plates 14 are specified within specific ranges and, further, an adjustment hole 15 whose shape is specified also within a specific range is provided in the side plate. It is recommended to generate magnetic fields by permanent magnet segments.

SOLUTION: An eddy-current reduction gear is provided with a rotor integrally attached to a rotating shaft, a group of permanent magnets 6 which are opposingly supported by the rotor in such a way that the magnets 6 are arranged at regular intervals along the peripheral direction of the rotor so that their magnetic poles may be faced oppositely to each other, a group of switch plates 7 made of a ferromagnetic material and arranged between the magnets 6 and rotor at the same arranging intervals as those of the magnets 6, and supporting bodies 3 made of a nonmagnetic material and arranged between adjacent switch plates 7. In addition, ferromagnetic bodies 11 are arranged at the portions of the supporting bodies 3 between adjacent switch plates 7.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain magnetic flux leaking from an adjacent switch plate to a cylinder part of a rotor when the brake is set off, without losing braking force when the brake is set on. SOLUTION: This eddy current decelerating device consists of a rotor 8 collectively fixed to a rotating shaft, permanent magnets 6 which are retained facing the rotor 8 and so arranged on a retaining ring 4 of ferromagnetic material at specified intervals that the directions of magnetic poles are reversed to each other along the peripheral direction of the rotor 8, switch plates 7 of ferromagnetic material which are interposed between the permanent magnets 6 and the rotor 8 at the same intervals with the respective permanent magnets 6 of a permanent magnet 6 group, and retaining member 3 parts of nonmagnetic material which are interposed between the respective switch plates 7 of a switch plate 7 group. Ferromagnetic material 11 is arranged at the same intervals with the retaining member 3 parts, on the inner side surface of a longitudinal direction of the rotor rotating shaft in a case covering the permanent magnet 6 group. As a result, when the brake is set off, magnetic leakage to a rotor cylinder can be remarkably reduced, drag torque is reduced, and power loss can be restrained when brake is not operated.
