    • The aim of the invention is to further develop antifriction bearings in order to provide improved operating properties and/or reduce production costs. Said aim is achieved by an antifriction bearing comprising at least one rolling element (1) that has a face (4) and further comprising at least one rim (12, 13) that has a guiding surface (15) for guiding the rolling element (1) within the antifriction bearing. During operation of the antifriction bearing, the face (4) of the rolling element forms or can form a contact zone (7, 18) along with the guiding surface (15), the guiding surface (15) and/or the face (4) having a curved shape in the region of the contact zone (7, 18) from a cross-sectional view perpendicular to the direction in which the rolling element (1) rolls. The curved shape is formed by overlapping a basic curved shape and a logarithmic curved shape (8, 19), the basic curved shaped of the face (4) being formed by an arc section of a circle, the center M of which lies on the axis of rotation (2) of the rolling element (1), and/or the basic curved shape of the guiding surface (15) being formed by an arc section of a circle, the center M of which lies on the axis of rotation (20) of the antifriction bearing, or by a toroidal shape.
