摘要： The present invention is directed to an integrated system for oligonucleotide synthesis and PCR. The integrated instrument of the inventive system is basically composed of two independent modules which are operatively linked to each other. The first module is a unit for the chemical de novo synthesis of oligonucleotides such as oligonucleotide primers and/or oligonucleotide hybridization probes. The second module is a unit for performing an analytical polymerase chain reaction amplification in real time, i.e. a qPCR. The two modules are operatively linked to each other in such a way that a user can load a nucleic sample that shall be analyzed into the inventive instrument and perform a PCR reaction by programming the instrument without a previous external synthesis of oligonucleotide amplification primers.

摘要： The invention concerns a method for detecting foam on a liquid surface (14) in a vessel (10), comprising the steps: - a) providing a vessel (10), particularly a tube-shaped vessel, which has an upper opening (12) surrounded by a border and which includes an amount of a liquid, - b) taking at least one image from a region suspected to contain foam in the vessel by using an image sensing device (20) providing corresponding image data, - c) performing an automatic evaluation of said image on the basis of said image data by means of a data processing system (30) using an image evaluation program, characterized in that the at least one image according to step - b) is taken with view from the top of the vessel (10) through the open upper opening (12) onto the liquid surface (14) and in that the image evaluation program of said data processing system (30) is adapted to identify foam areas and non foam areas in the image and to provide information about the presence or absence of foam areas in said image as a result of the image evaluation. Subject of the invention is also an apparatus for performing the method.

摘要： An integrated instrument for oligonucleotide synthesis and PCR, and a system and method thereof are disclosed. The integrated instrument is basically composed of two independent modules. The first module is a unit for chemical de novo synthesis of oligonucleotides such as oligonucleotide primers and/or oligonucleotide hybridization probes. The second module is a unit for performing an analytical polymerase chain reaction amplification in real time, i.e. a qPCR. The two modules are operatively linked to each other in such a way that a user can load a nucleic sample to be analyzed into the integrated instrument and perform a PCR reaction by programming the instrument without a previous external synthesis of oligonucleotide amplification primers.

摘要： An image recording system for evaluating analytical test elements has a positioning unit (8) into or onto which the test elements are set, an objective lens system (5) which reproduces an image of the test elements on a CCD-chip (3) and an evaluation unit which evaluates the image on the CCD-chip or displays it on a monitor. This image recording system makes it possible to evaluate a plurality of test elements of different sizes at different wavelengths without making it necessary for the user to focus the system. The lens system used is a demagnification optic with at least 0.7 aperture at the image side and less than 15 mm distance between the CCD-chip and the nearest lens of the lens system. Moreover, the distance between the nearest lens of the lens system and the CCD-chip is held constant at at least 10 mu m to ensure a sufficient sharpness. A compensator is disclosed for maintaining constant this distance.
