The coal internal temperature at each position in the furnace longitudinal direction is estimated from the actual measurement temperature of the coke oven combustion chamber. The extrusion force at the time of passage of the coke cake by the rugged part is estimated from the coal internal temperature and the actual measurement value of the furnace wall rugged part, and the relationships (a) and (b) to be determined whether the estimated extrusion load at the time of coke extrusion is lower than a reference value in the coke oven operation, and the coke is extruded from a distillation chamber by a distillation time shorter then a reference value.
