摘要： In the mobile telephone, an image display surface of a display is arranged on a front surface of a casing, and a camera is arranged on a rear surface thereof. The mobile telephone includes: a proximity sensor, and acceleration sensor, and a control circuit. The control circuit includes: a unit that detects that the casing has been placed on the object; a unit that performs a color conversion process for converting a color of each pixel into a complementary color on an image signal obtained from the camera before detection of that the casing has been placed on the object; and a unit that outputs a color-converted image on the image display surface when an incoming call/mail is received after detection of that the casing has been placed on the object.

摘要： Provided is a mobile telephone which can easily be found when called in case the mobile telephone is placed on a desk or a floor. An image display plane of a display (5) is arranged on the front surface of a casing (1) of the mobile telephone. A camera (7) is arranged on the rear surface of the casing (1). The mobile telephone includes: a proximity sensor (8), an acceleration sensor (16), and a control circuit (12). The control circuit (12) has: a means for detecting when the casing (1) is placed on an object according to an output value of the proximity sensor (8) and an output value of the acceleration sensor (16); a means for subjecting an image signal obtained from the camera (7) before detection of that the casing (1) is placed on the object, to a color conversion process which converts a color of each pixel into a complementary color in accordance with a predetermined conversion rule; and a means for outputting a color-converted image signal to the display (5) and displaying the color-converted image on the image display surface of the display (5) when a called state is detected after detection of that the casing (1) is placed on the object.

摘要： A position information providing system of the invention, portable telephones A and B are connectable to a service center. The telephone A has a GPS processing circuit for measuring its own position and a control circuit. The circuit prepares position information based on the measurements obtained by the GPS processing circuit, also prepares a list comprising the numbers of a plurality of telephones in response to an input manipulation by the user, and transmits the prepared list data to the center. When an information request signal is supplied from the telephone B to the center, the server transmits the position information as to the telephone A to the telephone B only when the number of the telephone B is not included in the list data. Thus, the system realized is adapted to reliably protect the privacy of the person carrying the telephone A.

摘要： A light emitting device includes a non-nucleation layer on which a step is formed to define a non-nucleation surface. Compound semiconductor islands, each consisting of n-type and p type semiconductor regions, are formed along a wall surface constituting the boundary of the step, and outer and inner electrodes are formed thereon, with the wiring section for the outer electrodes being formed on the surface of the non-nucleation layer which is at a level higher than the non-nucleation surface. The electrodes and the electrode wiring section are positioned substantially at the same level, thus attaining a reduction in resistance value and an increase in strength.
