摘要： PURPOSE:To eliminate a shift and tortion of a tensile strength fiber and to prevent decrease in tensile strength, providing a rotation stopper between a clamp for holding elastically the tensile strength fiber of an optical fiber and a fixing member for fixing the clamp. CONSTITUTION:At the base end 11 of a clamp 6 for elastically clamping the tensile strength fiber coated on the periphery of the optical fiber 2, a projection part 12 is formed and in the fixing member 7 for fixing the clamp 6, a cut part 13 is formed to fit said projection part 12 therein. When the optical cable 11 is fitted to an optical connector, the tensile strength fiber 3 is added to the tapered part of the clamp 6, the projection part 12 of the clamp 6 is fitted in the cut part 13 of the fixing member 7 to fix the member 7, and a clamping nut 8 is turned up to engage the clamp 6 threadably. Consequently, a relative shift and tortion of the tensile strength fiber 3 are eliminated to prevent a decrease in the tensile strength of the optical connector.

In this case, for example, a plug element 3A of the plug 1A and a plug element 3C1 of the plug 1C are fitted closely to a hole part 10 of an adapter element 71, and end faces of optical fiber cores exposed to respective end faces of these plug elements are matched to each other. Meanwhile, plug elements 3B1 and 3B2 of the plug 1B and plug elements 3C4 and 3C5 of the plug 1C are butted to each other respectively in adapters 74 and 75 and are connected.

The detector 48 is removed from the optical path 50, and the diameter of the laser light emitted from the connector 52 is made coincident with an optical fiber 54a through the lens 46, and the output light is detected by a detector 56, and a cable movable grip part 14 is fixed in the position where a maximum detection value is obtained, and one end of an optical cable 54 is moved forward and is connected to the connector 52. Consequently, the connection is facilitated.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a covered optical fiber having high adhesive strength between resin layers and superior resistance to lateral pressure by coating a semicured layer of a soft curable resin formed around an optical fiber with an uncured rigid curable resin and by completely curing both the resins. CONSTITUTION:A quartz preform rod 8 is spun into an optical fiber 2 in a spinning apparatus 7 composed of a rod feeder 5 and a spinning furnace 6. The fiber 2 is coated with an uncured soft curable resin by passing through a die type coater 9, and the resin is cured to a semicured state in a curing oven 10. The fiber 2 is then passed through a coater 11 to coat the semicured layer with an uncured rigid curable resin, and both the resins are completely cured in a curing oven 12 to obtain a covered optical fiber 1 having a buffer layer 3 of the soft resin and a protective layer 4 of the rigid resin formed successively around the optical fiber 2. The fiber 1 is wound around a bobbin 14 through a capstan 13.

摘要： PURPOSE:To allow the pulling down of an amplified 1st light signal from a 2nd optical fiber by bringing the 2nd optical fiber into contact with the pulling down point of the light signal at the time of taking out this light signal from the intermediate point of a 1st optical fiber line and injecting the 2nd light signal of the wavelength different from the wavelength of the 1st light signal from one thereof. CONSTITUTION:An arc C1 of a specified radius is formed by using a bender at the signal pulling down point (a) of the 1st optical fiber F1 which propagates the light signal O1 of, for example, 1.553mum to generate leak light O2 on the outer side of the optical fiber F1. The 2nd optical fiber F2 doped with a rare earth material is circumscribed with the position of the arc C1 along this arc and a part of the leak light O2 is introduced thereto to obtain signal light O3 at the time of pulling down the signal. The 3rd optical fiber F3 is thereafter connected to the front end e1 of the fiber F2 and is previously led into a subscriber's home A. Exciting light O4 of, for example, a wavelength 1.48mum is injected from the front end e2 of the fiber F2 and the light signal O1 is amplified to O3 and further to O5 and is sent to the subscriber's home A.
