    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cooling equipment for steel plate in which a steel plate conveyed in a high-temperature state in a hot rolling line can be uniformly cooled in the transverse direction thereof and production and maintenance are easy.
      SOLUTION: The cooling equipment 10 for the steel plate 13 is equipped with a plurality of upper and lower spray units 15, 16 for cooling the steel plate 13 conveyed by upper and lower draining rolls 12, 11, in which either or both of the upper and lower spray units 15, 16 are equipped with a housing 18 of a box type equipped with a water supply member 17, a casing 20 formed with a water chamber 19 which is removably stored in the housing 18 and is communicated with the water supply member 17, a plurality of water nozzles 21 connected to the water chamber 19, and an aperture 22 into which the tip of the each water nozzle 21 projecting from the casing 20 is fitted. The equipment has an apron 24 which is integrally connected to the casing 20 and is removably attached together with the casing 20 by means of a plurality of screws 23 to the housing 18.

SOLUTION: In the limited range of at least either one of a moving furnace hearth or a fixed furnace hearth in this walking hearth type heating furnace for a steel material, one pair or more of slopes 2 rolling down a round cross sectional material with the material dead wt., are formed and a furnace hearth in a range except the slopes is almost flattened. The shape of the slope is formed so that the length B2 in the slope horizontal direction of a side where the material steps over, is got over even in the shortest carrying pitch. Further, the length B1 of the slope on which the material rolls down, is made so as to obtain the necessary material rotation per one time. Then, the material is rolled down by laying the slope at each one time of carrying. In this way, even in the case that the interval of the material is not specially widened, the material is uniformly heated from the all surfaces in order according to the turning to decrease the uneven heat at the upper and the lower parts.

The lower part of the slope is provided with stoppers facing backward from the slope from which the materials fall.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for cooling a hot-rolled wire material, by which apparatus and method, the uniformity of cooling and the degree of freedom of installation can be advantageously secured.
      SOLUTION: The apparatus for cooling the hot-rolled wire material comprises a cooling pipe for forcedly cooling the hot-rolled wire material running through the inside thereof. The cooling pipe is divided into a plurality of sections in the circumference of the rolled material, and has a system for supplying refrigerant for every section. Further, every system for supplying refrigerant has a gas blowing system for mixing gas into the refrigerant liquid at an arbitrary ratio. In addition, thermometers for measuring the temperature of the rolled material in at least two sections of a plurality of circumferential sections of the rolled material are arranged on an inlet side and an outlet side of the cooling apparatus. Further, the cooling pipe in the cooling apparatus is arranged such that the pass line of the rolled material has a required curvature or a gradually changing curvature. The cooling condition is controlled for every section in the circumference of the rolled material using the apparatus.
