    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve denitration rate of a cylinder ammonia injection system, in a marine internal combustion engine provided with a cylinder ammonia injection denitration system.SOLUTION: The marine internal combustion engine 10 includes a combustion chamber 11 for injecting fuel at high pressure and combusting it, and a cylinder ammonia injection denitration system 30 for injecting ammonia water at high pressure by a system separate from the fuel, which is provided inside the combustion chamber. The engine further includes: a cylinder pressure sensor 41 which detects pressure in the combustion chamber 11; a scavenging temperature sensor 42 which detects air temperature in a scavenging chamber 12; a crank angle sensor 43 which detects crank angle; and a control unit 40 which calculates a cylinder gas temperature based on detection values input from the cylinder pressure sensor 41, scavenging temperature sensor 42 and crank angle sensor 43, and outputs a high-pressure injection command of ammonia water when the cylinder gas temperature is within a predetermined temperature range.
