An access broker receives requests from applications to access capabilities. The access broker determines whether to grant access based at least in part on whether the application manifest declares the capability. The access broker also may cause a user interface element to be displayed requesting user consent to the access request. Also, an in-application user interface element is provided that displays capability access settings for a particular application. The in-application user interface element includes selectable options for changing those settings. Changes in those settings via the user interface update the settings in the access broker.

A proximity service receives an indication from a proximity provider that a proximity connection is established, and then determines a joint proximity context of the proximity connection. 摘要： Systems and methods for managing frame rates during multimedia playback are described herein. The ideal playback timing associated with video data is determined. If an actual playback timing of the video data lags the ideal playback timing, a frame rate associated with the video data is varied using a smoothing function to recover toward the ideal playback timing. An iterative frame-dropping algorithm is applied to vary the frame rate in accordance with the smoothing function. The smoothing function incorporates as a variable an average delay associated with playback of frames in the video data.

The portable device is able to re-construct the advertising content based on the packet data communication protocol, to request updates of the digital advertising content, and to capture consumption data, which is usable for numerous purposes.
