The bottom receiving plate includes a bottom surface and a side wall to form a receiving space in which at least a portion of the light guiding plate is placed. The bottom surface is smaller than a lower surface of the light guiding plate and has a plurality of openings formed through the bottom surface. The side wall extends from the bottom surface.

摘要： A liquid crystal display including a backlight assembly, panel guides and a liquid crystal panel. The backlight assembly includes a light guide plate, optical sheets disposed on the light guide plate, a reflective sheet disposed under the light guide plate, light sources disposed along at least one of first sides of the light guide plate, light source covers which cover the light sources, respectively, guide members disposed along at least one of second sides of the light guide plate, and a packing sheet in which the light guide plate, the optical sheets, the reflective sheet, the light source covers, and the guide members are wrapped. The panel guides are disposed on the packing sheet and coupled to the guide members, respectively. The liquid crystal panel is placed on the panel guides. An extension direction of the first sides crosses an extension direction of the second sides.

摘要： A backlight assembly having improved luminance uniformity of emitted light, and a display device having the backlight assembly, includes first and second lamps, a receiving container and a reflection plate. The first and second lamps are arranged on a bottom plate of the receiving container substantially parallel to each other and emit ultraviolet light rays. The reflection plate is fixed on the bottom plate under the first lamp and extends to a space above the second lamp. A fluorescent layer is formed on the reflection plate. The fluorescent layer converts the ultraviolet light rays emitted from the first and second lamps into visible light rays. Luminance uniformity of light emitted from the backlight assembly is improved and a display quality of the display device is improved.
