      SOLUTION: In the method where, making both the faces of a titanium sheet 1 as the upper and lower faces 1a, 1b, respectively, the sheet is continuously passed through to a pickling bath 2 comprising nitric acid, a block member 4 is made close to the titanium sheet 1 so as to cover the upper face of the titanium sheet 1 to be passed and is installed into the pickling bath 2, the generation amount of NOx gas is suppressed, and further, the pickling speed of the upper and lower faces 1a, 1b in the titanium sheet 1 is uniformized as well.

      SOLUTION: The high strength magnesium alloy extruded material has a composition comprising, by weight, 7 to 15% aluminum, and the balance substantially magnesium, has a structure with a mean crystal grain size of ≤10 μm, and also has a tensile strength of ≥300 MPa. In the method, a billet 1 of an alloy material is heated at 200 to 450°C, and is subjected to hydrostatic extrusion at an extrusion ratio of ≥10, thus a high strength magnesium alloy extruded material is produced.
