    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the washing efficiency of a device for washing a coating roller by solving such a problem that the washing efficiency is decreased since a coating material soaking inside the coating roller is hardly removed or there is such a risk that the coating material removed from the coating roller is stuck to a squeezing roller and stuck again to the coating roller from the squeezing roller.

The water W in a storage tank 12 is brought into contact with the coating roller 30 so that the coating material remaining on the outer peripheral surface of the coating roller 30 can be diffused in the water. As a result, when the whole of the coating roller 30 is immersed in the water W, the coating roller 30 slips on the squeezing roller 13 to deteriorate the washing efficiency. But since the coating roller 30 is immersed partially in the water W, the coating roller 30 does not slip on the squeezing roller 13 but the coating roller 30 is rotated surely so that the coating material can be removed efficiently.
