摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus of a simple structure for measuring moisture of coal, capable of highly accurately and automatically measuring the moisture content of coal immediately before feeding into a coke oven by a noncontact system, eliminating the need for maintenance-requiring movable parts etc., and reducing the installation cost.
SOLUTION: The coal moisture measuring apparatus is provided with a transmitting means 4 for transmitting microwaves 3 to a bed of coal 1a stored in a coal bunker 2; a receiving means 5 for receiving the microwaves 3 transmitted through the bed of coal 1a; and a moisture content computing means 6 for computing the moisture content of coal 1, on the basis of the difference between the intensity of the microwaves 3 transmitted by the transmitting means 4 and the intensity of the microwaves 3 transmitted through the bed of coal 1a and received by the receiving means 5.
