    • PURPOSE:To provide an effective differential pressure seal without having the possibility of deteriorating product quality by disposing a single guide roll on which a long-sized thin strip is wound to a boundary having a pressure difference and further, providing a sealing attachment enclosing this roll. CONSTITUTION:The long-sized thin strip 1 is continuously passed through differential pressure chambers 4-6 via rolls 8, 9, etc., and is treated while the pressure difference is maintained. The single guide roll 2 is disposed to the boundary of the differential pressure casing 7 of the above-mentioned differential pressure chambers 4... and the long-sized strip 1 is wound around this roll and is thereby guided. Furthermore, the sealing attachment 3 enclosing the strip 1 with a slit (t) is disposed. A part on one of the opposed surfaces of this attachment 3 is formed to the shape conforming to the thin strip surface on the roll 2 and is disposed in proximity to the roll. A part on the other side is formed to the shape conforming to the outside circumference of the roll 2 and is disposed in proximity to the roll. The side faces of the two opposed parts mentioned above are so connected as to nearly maintain airtightness. The effective differential pressure seal is thus obtd. without having the possibility of deteriorating the quality of the strip 1 and generating crack, etc., thereof.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of plate splitting in the drive rating of a long-size thin belt by providing a magnet for closely attaching a long-size thin plate inside a single guide roller which is opposite to, in close vicinity to a sealing attachment. CONSTITUTION:A sealing attachment 4 provided in front of pressure difference chambers 7-5 encloses the outer periphery of a guide roller 2 over half a periphery leaving minute gaps delta1, delta2 to form recessed arc shaped sealing faces S1, S2. And, a long-size thin plate 1 is guided by the outer peripheral face of the guide roller 2 and fed through the part between the roller 2 and the sealing face S2 of the attachment 4 and further, through a slit (t) into the pressure difference chambers 5-7. And, at the time of being introduced into the minute gap delta2, it is adsorbed onto the surface of the guide roller 2 by means of a magnet 3 placed inside the roller 2 to suppress the oscillation of the long-size thin belt 1. Thereby, high pressure difference sealing can be performed while preventing plate splitting caused by the oscillation of the long-size thin belt.
