摘要： The present invention is directed to a separation device or container that can be used in the separation, isolation or pelleting of microorganisms from a test samples known to contain or suspected of containing said microorganisms. Subsequently, the separated, isolated or pelleted microorganism sample can undergo one or more interrogation steps to provide measurements useful for the characterization and/or identification of microorganism. In one aspect of the present invention, the interrogation steps can occur in situ in the separation device or container described herein.

摘要： Embodiments of the present invention include a specimen enclosure apparatus. The specimen enclosure apparatus includes a container having a cavity configured to receive the specimen and an opening extending through a neck of the container to the cavity. An internal flange is positioned intermediate the neck of the container. The specimen enclosure apparatus further includes a closure device configured to be received in the opening. The closure device has a flange seal portion configured to contact the internal flange to form a flange seal proximate the cavity and further has a radial travel limiter integrally formed with the closure device that is configured to contact the container in the opening to limit radial movement of the flange seal portion relative to the internal flange. Containers and closure devices are also provided.

One sheet processing system includes a receiver adapted to receive first and second single page sheets to be processed. The first sheet originates from a stack of first sheets, and the second sheet originates from a stack of second sheets. In some systems, the first and second sheets are of different sizes. The system includes a first read head adapted to read a first identifier from the first sheet, and a second read head adapted to read a second identifier from the second sheet. A circuit coupled to the first and second read heads is adapted to compare the first and second identifiers to determine whether a match exists. At least one identifier may include a magnetic stripe.

摘要： This invention is the method of collating words of Indo-European languages by using a special mark for the space between syllables and the languages' phonetic symbols, to produce word lists in which the listed words' articulations of syllables and phonemes are arranged sequentially as close to each other phonetically as possible. While most word list are arranged alphabetic based on an order of letters and the number of letters used in the languages' spelling system, this method would arrange word list based on an order of marks & symbols, and the number of unique sounds used in the languages' pronunciation system. The stark contrast is the alphabetic system results in word list with words arranged as close to each other spelling wise as can be, however this invention's method results in word list with word arranged as close to each other sound wise as can be.
