    • An apparatus for recovering a chrominance signal from a sequential color with memory (SECAM) composite video baseband signal (CVBS), and more particularly, to a frequency demodulator and method of recovering a SECAM chrominance signal which can utilize both a real number portion and an imaginary number portion, and generate a frequency-demodulated chrominance signal using an arctangent approximation, and thereby can simplify a circuit configuration of a frequency demodulator to perform a fixed-point calculation is provided. A frequency demodulator for recovering a chrominance signal, the frequency demodulator comprises a phase differentiator generating a phase difference component between neighboring samples from an input signal and a phase estimator calculating a phase difference between the neighboring samples by using an arctangent approximation, based on the generated phase difference component, wherein the frequency demodulator generates a frequency-demodulated chrominance signal and the phase difference corresponds to the chrominance signal.

    • The present invention relates to a toner for electrostatic development produced by a suspension process accompanied with reverse-neutralization and the method of producing the toner. The method for producing the toner for use in electrostatic development according to an embodiment includes (a) reacting a linear low molecular weight polymer having carboxyl groups at the end of a polymer chain with a basic compound to convert the polymer into neutral salt form and adding distilled water to prepare a water-dispersible composition to function as a dispersant; (b) mixing the water-dispersible resin composition with a colorant, a charge control agent, a releasing agent and a cross-linked high molecular weight water-dispersible latex to form a colored resin dispersion using high shear force; (c) pouring the colored resin dispersion into an acidic solution while applying a high shear force to reverse neutralize the neutral salt and heating and stabilizing the solution to obtain toner particles; and (d) filtering and washing, two or three times, repeatedly, and vacuum drying the toner particles and mixing the dried toner particles with hydrophobic silica particles or hydrophobic titanium oxide particles in an amount of 1-5 wt %.

    • The present invention relates to a recycling method of a mixed waste of polyester and polyamide (hereinafter, referred to as “mixed waste”) in which polyesters including polyethylene terephthalate and polyamides are inseparable from one another. In accordance with the recycling method of the present invention, it is possible to prepare a solid block polymer having an acid value of 1 to 150 mgKOH/g, a weight average molecular weight of 3,000 to 50,000 and a softening point of 10 to 150° C., or a liquid polyester-amide block polymer composition having good compatibility, solubility and dispersibility. In addition, the polymer having an acid value of more than 20 mgKOH/g is reacted with a basic compound to form a neutralized salt which is then used to prepare a water-soluble polyester-amide block polymer composition. The prepared water-soluble polyester-amide block polymer composition can be utilized as industrially useful material such as synthetic resin fine particles, microcapsules, adsorbents, polymerization toner binders for electron photography, fiber processing agents, sizing agents for use in paper-making and paper strength agents, wastewater treatment agents, dispersants, cement admixtures, inkjet ink binders, epoxy resin curing agents and modifiers, water-dispersible epoxy resin curing agents and modifiers. The solid or liquid polyester-amide block polymer composition having an acid value of less than 10 mgKOH/g can be employed as industrially useful material such as printer ink, coating materials, powder paints, adhesives, hot melt adhesives, binders for toner manufactured by grinding methods, waterproofing agents, unsaturated polyester-amide resins, and polyurethane resins.

    • The present invention relates to a method for the recycling waste polyester resins and the reclaimed materials therefrom. The method for recycling waste polyester resins according to one embodiment the present invention comprises (a) depolymerizing waste polyester resin; (b) polycondensing the depolymerized product from step (a) with a polyhydric alcohol to provide a polyester polymer having an acid value of 10-150 mgKOH/g; and (c) recovering the polyester polymer in solid or liquid form if the polyester polymer from step (b) has an acid value of more than 20 mgKOH/g or recovering the polyester polymer in solid form if the polyester polymer from step (b) has an acid value of less than 20 mgkOH/g. The reclaimed polyester resin according to the present invention has the excellent compatibility, dispersibility, and adhesive property for various media, and can be used easily neutralized and dissolved in water. Accordingly, the polyester resin can be used as a useful material for industrial products.
