    • An electrical connector assembly (100) including an electrical connector (1) and a cable (40). The electrical connector has a contact set (2) and a shield (30) enclosing the contact set. The contact set has an insulative insert (21) and a plurality of contacts (22) received in the insert. Each conductive contact has a mating portion (224) and a connecting portion (226) retained in a rear end of the insulative insert. The cable has a plurality of wires (41) and a pair of strong grounding conductors (42). Each wire has a conductive conductor electrically and mechanically connecting with the connecting portion of the contact. The pair of strong grounding conductors is mechanically connected to a pair of sides of the connector and electrically connected with a grounding trace of the connector so as to enhance a mechanical connection between the cable and the connector and a grounding effect.

    • An electrical connector assembly in accordance with the present invention includes a first dielectric housing (20), a second dielectric housing (10), a number of terminals (26) and a cable (40) electrically connected with the terminals. The first dielectric housing includes a body (21) and a first retention structure (28) formed at opposite ends of the body. The body defines a plurality of passageways (210). The second dielectric housing includes a base (14) and a second retention structure (12) formed at opposite ends of the base. The second retention structure is engageable with the first retention structure at different angles so that the cable extends along different directions with respect to a mating direction of the electrical connector assembly. The terminals are received in corresponding passageways.

    • A cable end connector assembly (1) includes an insulative housing (2), a number of cantacts (24) a shell (3), a pair of latches (5), a pull member (52) and a cable (4). The insulative housing has two opposite side walls (23). The contacts are received in the insulative housing. The shell encloses the insulative housing. The latches are pivotally assembled to the shell and located adjacent to the respective side walls of the insulative housing, and each latch has a claw section (5111) at a front end thereof and an inclined section (5132) obliquely extending from the claw section. The pull member includes a pull portion (523) and a pair of abutting sections (5221) extending from opposite sides of the pull portion and movably abutting against corresponding inclined sections of the latches as the pull portion being pulled. The cable includes a number of wires (41) connected with the corresponding contacts.
