    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ratchet type lever mechanism capable of enhancing the drive feeling and operability thereof, and realizing the drive feeling and operability without any complicated configuration.
      SOLUTION: A movable engagement end of a spring member locked to and held by a base part of a base member is elastically engaged with ratchet gears under the urging force. More specifically, individual engagement ends 38u and 38d of a leaf spring 36 with each end part 36a locked to and held by a cover member 23 are elastically engaged with ratchet gears 12u and 12d for upper and lower motions under the urging force. The engagement sound when the ratchet gears are lock-rotated is generated when the ratchet gears are engaged with and abutted on each other between the engagement ends.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure rigidity of a movable arm by not increasing plate thickness of the movable arm of a reclining device, avoiding complication of a structure, suppressing deformation that a back side of the movable arm opens outward by excessive loads, and not increasing weight or costs.
      SOLUTION: A main back frame 11 joins the movable arm 41 of the reclining device 40 to its frame side 14 and is supported by the reclining device 40 so that the back frame can fall towards the frame of a seat cushion and have angles adjusted. A deformation suppression hook 26 is integrally combined to a back side nearer to a frame bottom of the frame side 14 at a root 29, extends a tip along the back side of the movable arm 41, winds the movable arm 41 by a tip hook 28 from an arm back side, and is hung outside the movable arm 41.
