摘要： A recording apparatus for recording onto a recording medium and capable of correcting an erroneous recording includes an ink sheet mounting section on which an ink sheet for effecting the recording medium is mountable, a device for effecting the ink sheet to the recording medium, and a motor for driving the ink sheet. By a driving force produced by one directional rotation of the motor, the recording ink sheet is moved between an effecting position where the recording ink sheet is effected by the effecting device and a retracted position where the recording ink sheet retracts from the effecting position. Also, by a driving force produced by the motor, the correcting ink sheet is moved between an effecting position wherein the correcting ink sheet is effected by the effecting device and a retracted position where the correcting ink sheet retracts from the effecting position. Further, a conveying device conveys the correcting ink sheet without conveying the recording ink sheet in response to movement of the correcting ink sheet between the effecting and retracting positions.

The cam mechanism includes a cam plate and a cam tracing pin guided in a cam groove within the cam plate, with the cam tracing pin traveling several courses in the cam groove. A driving device imparts rotary motion to the cam mechanism in two directions about a rotary axis and the cam tracing pin is guided in several stages of rotary motion.

摘要： A printing apparatus includes a print wheel having a vertical lien character, a minus symbol character, and an underline symbol character. A first control moves a carriage on which the print wheel is mounted at one of two pitches and a second control advances a printing paper for receiving printing at one of two pitches in a direction generally perpendicular to the direction of movement of the carriage. Respective keys select the vertical line character and underline character for printing and the printing and paper-advancing pitches. One key signals repeat actuation of either the key selecting the vertical line character or the underline character and a memory stores actuation of the key for selecting the vertical line character. Printing of a vertical line character and advancement of paper is achieved by a control in response to actuation of the repeat signaling key, if the memory stores actuation of the vertical character key. Another control clears the memory in response to operation of any key other than the repeat signaling key.

摘要： An improved ink ribbon cassette for a serial printing apparatus comprises a body, first and second substantially coextensive spaced ink ribbon guide arms projecting from the body, each having a free end, and an ink ribbon mounted in the body for advancement during printing and having a portion extending between the free ends of the guide arms so as to be available for printing. One of the guide arms has a window therein through which the ribbon is visible. A first optically detectable indicator is carried on the ribbon at a position to be visible through the window when the ribbon is substantially exhausted. A second optically detectable structure is mounted on the guide arm adjacent the window and laterally spaced therefrom in the direction of movement of the ribbon. This second optically detectable structure indicates the type of ribbon in the cassette.

摘要： A printing apparatus having two character generators, one which generates characters common to a plurality of countries, comprises a keyboard for entering character codes, a first character generator for producing certain character patterns representing certain character codes common to a plurality of countries, and a second character generator for producing other character patterns representing other character codes. A buffer stores the character codes entered by a keyboard and a selection signal generator generates a selection signal in dependence on each character code stored in the buffer. The selection signal indicates that the second character generator is to be utilized to produce the other character patterns represented by the other character codes. A processor controls the operation sequence ofthe apparatus. The buffer is responsive in the absence of generation of the selection signal by the generator to access the first character generator to produce one of the certain character patterns and the processor is responsive to generation of a selection signal by the generator to access the second character generator to produce one of the other character patterns.
