    • PURPOSE:To have accurate sensing free from influence of speed by determining the cyclic period from the point where sampling is started to the first input pulse, and also the cyclic pulse from the last input pulse till the ending point, and thereby correcting the number of pulses. CONSTITUTION:A tachometer generator 1 generates pulses proportional to the moving amount of an object, while a waveform shaper circuit 3 trims the pulse waveform. The trimmed pulses are fed to a circuit 4 to measure the number of pulses, a circuit to measure the pulsation period, and a circuit 6 which measures the time from the starting point of one speed/distance calculation sampling period to the first pulse, and also the time from the last input pulse till the ending point. Output of these circuits 4, 5, 6 are fed to a circuit 7, which makes corrective calculation of the number of pulses fed within one speed/distance calculation sampling period. This corrected number of pulses is entered into a speed/distance calculating circuit 8, and errorless calculations of the speed 9 and distance 10 are made with high accuracy being free from influence of the speed.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce an energy necessary to travel a train by controlling switch means for short-circuiting a chopper. CONSTITUTION:A power drive or a brake notch is selected on the basis of the calculated result of a constant speed traveling acceleration/deceleration command calculator 15 at departure information inputting time. When a train approaches a next station, the power drive or the brake notch is selected on the basis of the output of a stopping deceleration command calculator 23. A coasting drive is executed on the basis of the output of a coasting point detector 24 between stations where the coasting drive is set to perform. A chopper short- circuit judgement processor 26 stores in advance station names for short- circuiting a chopper, a constant speed traveling pattern, a train speed and a distance for traveling in a chopper short-circuiting state, and outputs a chopper short-circuit command 27 when becoming under the prescribed conditions.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate the design and manufacture and to enable the elevation of the performance and reliability of an automatic driving device of rolling stock by a method wherein a running controller and a management controller are provided individually, and the respective controllers are made to take a share in the controlling contents. CONSTITUTION:The running controller 1 inputs a place signal from a place signal detector 3, an ATC signal from an ATC signal detector 4, a speed signal from a speed sensor 5, and conforming to those signals, a power running command is outputted to a drive controller 6 and a braking command is outputted to a braking device 7, and running control is performed to make the rolling stock to start from a station and to stop at the normal position of the next station. The management controller 2 inputs the speed signal from the speed sensor 5, a revolution management command from a transmitter 9, an automatic or a manual signal from a drivers compartment 10, and read out the necessitating information from a railway information memory 8, and conforming to those informations, a command to change the running mode, etc., is sent to the running controller 1 through transmitters 15, 14 and prescribed commands are outputted to a passenger room broadcasting device 11, an indicator 12, a warning device 13, etc.

    • PURPOSE:To make the running of the rolling stock to be comfortable by a method wherein a flat stop pattern is made to generate in the first stop pattern under the condition that the speed of the first stop pattern = the initial speed of the second stop pattern to suppress the radical change of the output of notch. CONSTITUTION:The first ground device 1 and the second ground device 3 are arranged respectively at the prescribed distance from the normal stop point 6. When the train passes over the ground device 1, the first stop pattern 2 is generated at A point. At the rolling stock progresses, the notch number is calculated in the pattern generator from the deviation between the first stop pattern 2 and the speed of train to be outputted to the rolling stock. By this way, the rolling stock follows the first stop pattern 2 as shown with the running locuts 5. When the pattern 2 comes down to B point, it becomes as the first pattern = the second stop pattern and hereafter the flat pattern is generated until a signal from the second ground device 3 is received. The rolling stock is controlled to follow this flat pattern. When the rolling stock progresses consecutively and passes over the ground device 3, the second stop pattern 4 is generated at C point, the rolling stock is controlled according to the pattern 4 and stops at the prescribed normal stop point.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption corresponding to one reciprocation of a line by deciding a seat-load factor by the time zone and the direction of operation and changing over maximum speed in response to the seat-load factor. CONSTITUTION:A time-zone decision section 12 discriminates the time zones of morning and afternoon on the basis of outputs from a clocking device 11. Outputs from the time-zone decision section 12 and an operation-direction signal 13a from a train are inputted to a seat-load factor judging section 13, and the section 13 outputs the signal of a high seat-load factor on operation toward the central direction of the city in the morning and operation toward the direction of a resistance district in the afternoon and the signal of a low seat-load factor on operation toward the direction of the residence district in the morning and operation toward the central direction of the city in the afternoon. A pattern generator 3a for travelling at constant speed selects a pattern at low speed on the high seat-load factor and a pattern at high speed on the low seat-load factor. On the other hand, a pattern generator 6a for a stop at a predetermined position outputs a pattern for the stop at the predetermined position.
