    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device realizing high resolution, weight reduction, and thinness.
      SOLUTION: The display device comprises a thin display panel 72 and a control device 73. The display panel 72 comprises an anode substrate 2, a cathode substrate 4 of flat plate shape which forms an electron emission chamber 6 vacuum sealed between the anode substrate 2, an electron source 3 formed on the cathode substrate 4, a phosphor 1 formed on the anode substrate 2, a pressure support 74 formed on the counter electron emission chamber side of the cathode substrate 4. The pressure support 74 comprises a vacuum sealing member 8 which forms a pressure supporting chamber 8A that is vacuum sealed independently from the electron emission chamber 6 between the cathode substrate 4, and a reinforcement member 7 which is formed of a member having an air gap and is interposed between the vacuum sealing member 8 and the cathode substrate 4 in the pressure supporting chamber and of which both end parts are at least installed ranging over the jointing region of the cathode substrate 4 to the anode substrate 2.
