    • An elevator control apparatus for controlling operation of a cage in an elevator system in which a normal speed command signal is generated having a normal pattern providing gradually decreasing terminal speed as the cage approaches a level of a terminal floor; a terminal-floor slowdown signal is generated having a normal pattern generally similar to the normal pattern of the normal speed command signal and separated therefrom by a magnitude determined by a bias value; the normal speed command signal is chosen as a final terminal slowdown command signal for controlling terminal speed of the cage when, based on comparing the command signals, the normal speed command signal is less than the terminal-floor slowdown command signal, or the terminal-floor slowdown command signal is chosen as the final terminal slowdown command signal for controlling terminal speed of the cage when, based on comparing the command signals, the normal speed command signal is not less than the terminal-floor slowdown command signal; and the terminal-floor slowdown command signal is corrected when chosen as the final terminal slowdown command signal by changing the bias value used in generating the final terminal-floor slowdown command signal; whereby the final terminal slowdown command signal follows at least a final portion of the normal pattern of the normal speed command signal.

    • A system which includes a micro-computer which is responsive to an elevator car reaching a predetermined distance from a terminal floor and arranged to calculate a residual distance between the actual position of the car and the floor so as to generate a command normal deceleration signal concerning that distance, and a command terminal deceleration generator which is responsive to the successive actuations of plural terminal sensors disposed adjacent of the floor within an associated hoistway so as to generate a command terminal deceleration signal which is successively decreased. When the car engages any of the terminal sensors, the micro-computer similarly calculates a residual distance between the position of the engaged terminal switch and the floor so as to generate a command auxiliary terminal deceleration signal concerning that distance.

    • An elevator control apparatus comprises drive device for driving an elevator car and a pulse generator, which is connected to the drive device and which generates pulses, the number of which are proportional to the travel distance of the car. The apparatus also comprises computing device for present car position for computing the present position of the car by counting the number of pulses from the pulse generator, computing device for predicted stop position for computing a predicted stop position of the car in case of a power failure during the travel of the car, first memory for storing data of the predicted stop position of the car and for maintaining that data, and second memory for previously storing position data of each floor in relation to an elevator. The elevator control apparatus further includes control device for controlling the drive device based on the present position of the car and the data stored in the second memory, and computing device for correcting car position at power failure for correcting, upon recovery from the power failure, based on the data stored in the first memory and the second memory, the present position of the car, which is computed by the computing device for present car position before the power failure occurs.

    • An elevator control apparatus which compensates for an insufficient gain of the entire control system caused by a drop in power source voltage or the like includes an electric power control circuit for controlling electric power for feeding to an electric motor which drives the car of an elevator, a speed command generating circuit for generating a speed command signal of the car, a speed detecting circuit for detecting the speed of the car, a computing circuit for calculating the deviation between a speed detecting signal obtained by the speed detecting device and a speed command signal generated by the speed command generating circuit, a compensating circuit for outputting an electric power command signal in which gain properties and phase properties have been compensated in accordance with the deviation calculated by the computing circuit, a comparing circuit for determining whether or not the deviation calculated by the computing circuit exceeds a first specified value, and a damping gain setting circuit for, when the comparing circuit determines that the deviation exceeds the first specified value, adding a correction value which is based on the deviation to the electric power command signal from the compensating circuit in order to output the added correction value as an electric power control signal to the electric power control circuit.
