    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat heat pipe which improves the reflux property of a working fluid and also improves the transportation property by enlarging the evaporation area of the working fluid.SOLUTION: The flat heat pipe 7 transports heat by working fluid which evaporates by being heated and radiates heat and condenses. To form a wick 5, a bundle 2 of fine lines with many bundled fine lines 1 is formed by twisting them around an axis thereof into a bundle, a plurality of bundles are bundled together, and space continuous in the longitudinal direction of the bundles 2 of fine lines is created between the adjacent bundles 2 of fine lines. The wick 5 is extended along the overall length of a container 3 not to block space which serves as an evaporation passage 8 in a state in contact with both the upper and lower faces inside the container 3 which is made flat and is charged with working fluid. Any part of the contact part between any of bundles 2 of fine lines, which form the wick 5, and the container 3, is fixed by sintering along the overall length of the longitudinal direction of the container 3.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat type heat pipe in which a liquid flow path where working fluid flows is assured without decreasing an area of a wick for vaporizing working fluid so as to improve a return flow characteristic.SOLUTION: This flat type heat pipe 1 transfers heat with working fluid evaporating through its heating and condensing while radiating heat. The heat pipe comprises a container 3 formed into a flat shape and having working fluid sealed therein and a wick 2 for generating capillary force for returning the working fluid of liquid phase to a position where it is evaporated. The wick 2 is fixed through sintering to one flat surface 3b at an inner part 3a of the container 3 over an entire longitudinal length of the container 3, the working fluid of gaseous phase may flow between the wick 2 fixed to one flat surface 3b and the other flat surface 3c at the inner part 3a of the container 3, and a groove part 8 for returning the working fluid of liquid phase to an evaporating position where the working fluid of liquid phase evaporates is formed along a longitudinal direction at the surface 2a of the wick 2 opposing against the other flat surface 3c.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pipe that is flat in cross section and has superior thermal transport properties and thermal transport capability.SOLUTION: In a flat heat pipe 1, the inside of a flat container 2 having a large width relative to a thickness thereof is charged with a working fluid which evaporates by heating and condenses by heat radiation, the container 2 has flat inner walls 2a and 2b facing each other and sidewalls 2c connecting the fellow right and left ends of these flat inner walls 2a and 2b. Space is formed between the wick 3 and the other flat inner wall 2b out of the flat inner walls 2a and 2b to allow the steam of the working fluid to circulate therein. In addition, a gap between the wick 3 and the right and left sidewalls 2c and the space serve as a steam passage 4 in which the steam of the working fluid circulates.
