    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic composite porcelain tube and its manufacturing method capable of obtaining an external flashover characteristic similar to that of the porcelain tube having a large inner diameter even when the inner diameter of the porcelain tube is reduced, reducing the cost, and reducing the porcelain tube in size. SOLUTION: The outer diameter of an outer cover insulated barrel section 3c-2 and a cap section 3c-1 only at an outer cover insulated portion near the upper tip section 6a of an inner electrode 6 is made larger than the outer diameter of the barrel section and the cap section of its upper section 3a and lower section 3b. Since the outer diameter of the outer cover barrel section and the cap section is increased, the electric field of an outer cover surface 8 near the upper tip section of the inner electrode is weakened, and the maximum electric field section is moved to the upper side 3a of the outer cover barrel section and the cap section 3c having the increased outer diameter. The cap section and the barrel section 3c having the large outer diameter function to prevent the air dielectric breakdown occurring at the maximum electric field section from being propagated to a ground side terminal metal fixture, thus exerting an effect to increase the external flashover voltage.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminating portion of a rubber insulated or plastic insulated power cable which uses a smaller number of parts and assures easier installation in the field and stable performance for a longer period of time. SOLUTION: This terminating portion of a power cable is constructed with a stress cone which is made of a rubber material to be contracted under the normal temperature and is loaded to a terminating portion of a cable, a porcelain tube which is mounted to the external circumference of the cable to cover the stress cone, an insulation miscible-substance used to fill the porcelain tube and an oil-seal flange used to prevent leakage of the insulation adulterant from the porcelain type, in which the oil-seal flange is composed of a flat plate portion for sealing an aperture of the porcelain tube, and a cylindrical portion for covering the external circumference of the cable and the liquid-tight process is conducted using the rubber material to be contracted under the normal temperature to the area between the cylindrical portion and the external circumference of cable. It is recommended that a polymer gel, which does not deteriorate by the aging the stress cone or a rubber unit which are made of the rubber material which is contracted under the normal temperature, is used as the insulation adulterant used to fill the porcelain tube.
