摘要： PURPOSE:To restrain generation of vortex and cavitation due to breakaway of flow by providing sub-vanes of specified length between respective guide vanes and placing by the side of cascade of guide vane, in a diffuser with vanes provided on a discharge flow passage in which many guide vanes are arranged along the circumferential direction of a discharge flow passage. CONSTITUTION:A boiler circulating pump is provided with a diffuser with vanes 5 in a discharge flow passage opened in a cover 2 opposite to the discharge port of a runner 1. The diffuser with vanes 5 is constituted out of many guide vanes arranged so as to enlarge in order flow passage section extending over the inner circumferential end and the outer circumferential end against the discharge flow passage 6 opened on the circumference of a runner cover 2 opposite to the discharge port of the runner 1. On the end part on outlet side of the flow passage between mutual guide vanes 7 arranged in the circumferential direction of the flow passage of the diffuser 5, a sub-vane 8 of plate vane curvedly worked out of copper plate of thin thickness is provided. The vane length LS is selected so as to be LS/L=0.2-0.5, where L is the vane length of the guide vane 7.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a water wheel and reduce noise and vibration by reducing the load applied onto a main vane by varying the shape of the sectional surface or arrangement of the main vane on the inflow side in the vicinity of the nose of a stay vane, thus preventing exfoliation of the stream on the surface of the stay vane. CONSTITUTION:A Kaplan turbine has a passage for the inflow of the water which flows in a semispiral casing 1 into a runner vane 4, passing through a stay vane 2 consisting of a plurality of main vanes and a guide vane 3, and the top edge of the nose of the casing 1 intrudes into the stay vane 2. With such constitution, the load applied onto a main vane is reduced by varying the sectional shape or arrangement of the inflow-side main vane in the vicinity of the nose of the stay vane 2,and the exfoliation of stream on the surface of the stay vane 2is prohibited. For instance, a plurality of main vanes on the inflow side close to the casing nose 1N of the stay vane 2 are formed into longer vanes 2a-2c, longer than the main vane 2 in other parts.
