    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the production of a carbonized material containing a little amount of chlorine.
      SOLUTION: The method comprises: forming a carbonized material slurry 10 that is a dispersion of pulverized carbonized material 3a in water 6 and is prepared by pulverizing a carbonized material 3 that is obtained by carbonization of a waste 2 using a waste carbonization apparatus 1, using a wet grinding mill 11; then dissolving chlorine components contained in the pulverized carbonized material 3a in the carbonized material slurry 10 in a state of salts in the water 6 of the carbonized material slurry 10 by performing boiling treatment of the carbonized material slurry 10 using a carbonized material boiling apparatus 12; thereafter dehydrating the boiling-treated carbonized material slurry 10 using a dehydration scrubbing apparatus 13, and further cleaning the pulverized carbonized material 3a recovered as a dehydrated cake by clean cleaning water 6a. Accordingly, the water 6, which is effectively dissolved in the carbonized material slurry 10 in the course of boiling treatment, is removed by separation, and the pulverized carbonized material 3a, whose chlorine content is largely reduced, is recovered as a product of carbonized material 3c.
